14. Occupation: refer to the type of work carried out by a particular respondent, classified accor<strong>di</strong>ng to the KBJI 2002 NOT<br />
Indonesian Classification of Occupation (KJI) 1982.<br />
15. Wage/Salarie are the remuneration paid to an employee by an employer, inclu<strong>di</strong>ng payment in cash and or in kind.<br />
16. Employment status is the status of a person at the place where he/she works. There are seven <strong>di</strong>fferent categories:<br />
Own-account workers are those workers who, working or their own account or with one or more partners, hold the type of<br />
job defined as a “self employment job”, and have not engaged on a continous basis any “employees” to work for them<br />
during the reference period.<br />
Employer assisted by temporary workers/unpaid worker.<br />
Employer assisted by permanent workers permanent workers: is a person who does his/her business assisted by paid<br />
permanent workers.<br />
Employee: is a person who works for another person or an institution with a stable contract for pay in cash or in kind.<br />
Casual employee in agriculture: is a person who works at her/his own risk without the assistance of his/her family<br />

Casual employee not in agriculture: is a person who works at her/his own risk without the assistance of his/her family<br />
members or employees outside the agricultural sector.<br />

relatives or neighbors.<br />
