Aeuimporn Raksawong. (2009).A Study Of Porn Pirom’s Compositions.Master Thesis, M.F.A. (Ethnomusicology). Bangkok: Graduate School,Srinakharinwirot University.Advisor Committee: Assoc.Prof, Dr.Manop Wisuttipat.Assist.Prof. Karnchana Intrasunanon. The purpose of this Thesis is to study the biography of Porn Pirom and his songs. The study was conducted by analyzing 6 songs comprising 4 Lookthung songs which are 1) Bua Toom Bua Barn, 2) Narm Tar Lar Sine, 3) Gra Tom Thong Gwar, 4) Jum Jai Jark; and 2 Lae songs which are 1) Dao Loog Kai Part 1 and Part 2, 2) Wung Mae Loog Aorn Part 1 and Part The result of the study reveals that the original name of Porn Pirom is Mr. Boonsom Meesomwongse. He has 11 brothers and sisters. He is the eldest child. He was married with Mrs. Rabiab Parknam and has 1 son namely Mr. Rangsun Meesomwongse. Mr. Pron Pirom has great ability in many aspects of music, including singing and composition which we can see from his works. He received Golden Record Awards 2509 from a song Bua Toom Bua Barn which was composed and sung by Porn Pirom himself and another song; Dao Look Gai, which is a kind of Lae song. At present, he is a monk at Wat Rattanachai (China Temple), Ayuddhaya. Before he was ordained as a monk, he had composed various styles of song as follows: Lookthung Composition 1. The forms of song are sectional form and binary form 2. The composition of Lookthung is arranged in octameter 3. As for the rhythm, the song has major rhythm and is developed to new version. Lae Composition 1. The lyrics are composed at once and sung only one time
2. The composition comprises elegant and beautiful words. For example, Dao LookGai was arranged in Ratchniklueng genre, having rhyming word at the end of its stanzas (having rhyming word on the fourth line of each stanza)
