The present paper analyse the Amari‟s contribution for the formation and the diffusion oh
the Civil Economy in the Risorgimento‟s Sicily. In spite of first signals of economic
progress in Sicily (feudalism abolition, agricultural modernization and economic policies
semi-free trade) the Civil Economy proposed the realization of various elements. A vision
of the Economy bound at the Religion‟s precepts, the “factor man” in every economic
dinamic, an ethical free-trade policy without monopolies, and a industry‟s conception as
means for the “public happiness” of the people.
