spiega Arnaboldi. Per AB Yachts il 140 segna un passaggio fondamentale:
«Di fatto siamo passati dalle barche alle navi da
diporto. All’inizio il salto ci ha fatto un po’ paura, ma ci credevamo.
Non si può immaginare quanto siano state coccolate
queste barche». Accarezzate, diremmo, come i veri sogni.

The tank testing meant that the yard knew the boat’s centre of gravity to
the nearest millimetre and allowed it to calibrate the engine set-up to
perfection. “7,200 hp is a relatively small number for a boat that performs
like the 140’. We’ve managed to guarantee a 46-knot top speed
and a 43.5-knot cruising speed at one-third capacity. That’s because we
used lightweight materials that cut around 15 tonnes off the overall
weight,” concludes Arnaboldi. It looks like the 140 was one dream worth
the wait!
