SHOWS AND EVENTS
Dal quattro al sei luglio scorsi era prevista la
tre giorni in quel di Passaggio di Bettona
(PG), per lo svolgimento della quarta edizione
della Festa del purosangue arabo in Umbria,
un concorso internazionale di classe B A.N.I.C.A. –
E.C.A.H.O.
Patrocinato dal comune di Bettona, il comitato Amici
del PSA in Umbria ed il sig. Walter Betti si sono
prodigati per la buona riuscita della manifestazione.
Il tempo inclemente ha impedito lo svolgimento delle
categorie previste nel pomeriggio del venerdì ma,
nonostante la necessità di stravolgere il programma
previsto per la giornata di sabato, tutto è stato gestito
al meglio, sia nei tempi che nei modi.
Molti gli ospiti nazionali ed internazionali, specie dal
Medio Oriente, sono intervenuti a questa bella manifestazione
che si è svolta in un clima assolutamente
sereno, aspetto, questo, che dovrebbe essere una
costante in ogni manifestazione ma che spesso viene
soppiantato da una insana tensione negativa. Complimenti

The fourth edition of “Festa del purosangue arabo”,
an international “B” competition recognized by
A.N.I.C.A. – E.C.A.H.O., was held in Passaggio
di Bettona (Perugia) from July 4th to 6th.
Supported by the Municipality of Bettona, the “Amici
del PSA” committee (Friends of the PBA) and Walter
Betti did their utmost to turn the event into a success.
Due to bad weather it was not possible to go ahead with
the categories scheduled for Friday afternoon but despite
the unexpected event and the need to revolutionize the
program for Saturday, everything was managed really
well, from timings to methods.
Many national and international guests, especially from
the Middle East, took part in this lovely event, which
was characterized by an extremely peaceful atmosphere,
something that should be a regular feature of every
event but that is often replaced by an unhealthy negative
tension. Congratulations to the organizers and to the
judges for their excellent job, whose final scores obviously
satsfied every participant, winners and losers alike.

dalla giuria, il cui responso finale ha evidentemente
soddisfatto tutti i partecipanti, sia vincitori che vinti.
Tornando alla giuria, cinque figure internazionali
si sono avvicendate nelle varie categorie, dal dr. Nico
Jung dalla Germania, alla sig.ra Sharzad Amir Alani
dall’Iran, al sig. Basil Jadaan dalla Siria, all’ing. Marco
Pittaluga e al sig. Pierluigi Rota dall’Italia.
Non molto numerose ma molto belle le categorie che

There were not many participants in the categories, but
that did not affect the great quality of the competition,
starting from that of yearling fillies, which was won by

della Rabab Stud di Sh. Khaled Bin Laden dall’Egitto.
Seconda posizione per *SL Pharida (Imperial Pharaj x
Capecci and owned by the Rabab Stud of Sh. Khaled
Bin Laden (Egypt). Second was *SL Pharida (Imperial
Pharaj x Denisa LF) presented by Roberto Zaniboni
and owned by Mr. Antonio Dionisi. The third place after
the tie-break with *Shamani was awarded to *SL
Dunia (Nablus x Shasa) of Arabian Horse Prestige.
The following category was also fascinating, that reserved
to mares over 7, which was won by a large margin
by the magnificent *Fer Mia (JK Nasser x Martinique),
presented by Paolo Capecci and owned by the Dubai
Arabian Horse Stud (UAE). The second place went to
*Sinfonia (Wagner x Cri Cri Dei Mori) presented by
Franck Sponle and owned by the Arabian Stars of Massimiliano
Rocchino. She was followed in third place by
*Aishia (Klarnet x Pastuska) presented by Domenico
Ciceroni and owned by Mrs. Silvia Rubini.
The category of stallions aged 4 to 6 was easily won
by the charming *Ghajariy (Khidar x Esta-Passada)
presented by Franck Sponle and owned by Fontanella
Magic Arabians. Second place for *Al Emir (Mahadin
x Shaismurphy Brown) presented by Paolo Capecci and
owned by Al Hambra Arabians (A). *Imperial Baareg

The category of stallions aged 7 to 9 was won by the

which obtained also the highest score in the show, with
four 20s in type, three 20s in head and neck and one in

Nella categoria stalloni dai sette ai nove anni si aggiudica
la prima posizione il tipico *Hannibal By Gioia
(SDP Taylor x Gioia APS) che ottiene il punteggio
più alto dell’intero show, con quattro venti in tipicità,
tre in testa e collo, uno in movimento. Ottimamente
presentato da Franck Sponle, Hannibal è di proprietà
dell’Arabian Stars di Massimiliano Rocchino. Secondo
posto per *SDP Whisper (Nasek x SH Enchantress),
presentato e di proprietà del sig. Angelo Teobaldelli
mentre al terzo posto si attesta *Dhyanchall
VCM (Don El Chall x Dhyanka ATA) presentato da
Marcelos Jubran e di proprietà dell’avv. Alessandro
Carlesi.
L’ultima categoria, quella degli stalloni di oltre dieci
anni, ha visto salire sul podio il sauro *FS Eternal Flame
(Kubinec x Temptress MSC), autore di un ottimo
show, ben presentato da Paolo Capecci e di proprietà
del sig. Gianpaolo Gubbiotti. Al secondo posto si è
attestato *Debowiec (Monogramm x Debowka) presentato
da Paolo Capecci e di proprietà della Dubai
Arabian Horse Stud (UAE), mentre al terzo posto il
ventenne *Orashaan (Maysoun x Orasha) per il quale
gli anni sembrano non passare. Questo affascinante
stallone è di proprietà del sig. Gianpaolo Gubbiotti.
Impressionante il numero dei soggetti, maschi e femmine,
iscritti a partecipare alla categoria Futurity.
Altrettanto incredibile la qualità presente in campo e
non solo nelle femmine, generalmente più pronte dei
maschietti. Arduo il compito dei giudici che hanno
assegnato il primo posto all’unanimità, nelle femmine,
alla bella *CS Amay (Royal Colours x CS Opportunity)
del sig. Marco Sensi. Al secondo posto si è
classificata *AS Manila (Windsprees Mirage x Magic
Delice) di proprietà dell’A.A. Le Quercette mentre al
terzo posto si classifica *Rose Of Amir (Amir Ashiraf
x Miss Rose L) del sig. Leonardo Rainoldi.
Per i maschi primo posto per un altro prodotto del
Campione del mondo Royal Colours, il tipico *TF
Romeo (x DA Alima) dell’A.A. del dr. Francesco
Tripodi. Al secondo posto *Gazal By Massai (Massai
Hannibal is owned by the Arabian Stars of Massimiliano
Rocchino. Second was *SDP Whisper (Nasek x
SH Enchantress), presented and owned by Mr. Angelo
Teobaldelli followed in third place by *Dhyanchall VCM
(Don El Chall x Dhyanka ATA) presented by Marcelos
Jubran and owned by Mr. Alessandro Carlesi.
The last category to compete, featuring stallions over-
10 saw on the top step of the podium the chestnut *FS
Eternal Flame (Kubinec x Temptress MSC) with an
excellent performance, well presented by Paolo Capecci
and owned by Gianpaolo Gubbiotti. He was followed
by *Debowiec (Monogramm x Debowka) presented by
Paolo Capecci and owned by the Dubai Arabian Horse
Stud (UAE), whereas the third place was awarded to
the twenty-year-old *Orashaan (Maysoun x Orasha),
for which the years seem never to pass. This charming
stallion is owned by Mr. Gianpaolo Gubbiotti.
The number of male and female horses competing in the
Futurity category was impressive. Similary, the quality
of the horses was incredible and not only among female
horses, which are generally more active than males.
The judges had the tough task of choosing the winner of
the top place, and they opted for the beautiful *CS Amay
(Royal Colours x CS Opportunity) of Mr. Marco Sensi.
The second place went to *AS Manila (Windsprees Mirage
x Magic Delice) owned by the Le Quercette stud
whereas *Rose Of Amir (Amir Ashiraf x Miss Rose L)
of Mr. Leonardo Rainoldi was third.
Among males, the top place went to another son of the
World Champion Royal Colours, the typey *TF Romeo
(x DA Alima) of Francesco Tripodi’s stud farm. Second
place for *Gazal By Massai (Massai Ibn Marenga x Kishara)
owned by Mr. Antonio Stefano whereas the third
place was obtained by *M Ipnos (Al Whaide El Dine x
IM Hypnotik Cathare) of the Neter Stud.
There were no major surprises at the final championship.
The lovely *AV Dohassai (Massai ibn Marenga
x AV Dolimha) presented by Paolo Capecci and owned
by the Arabian Valley Stud of the Sanchi brothers was
named Champion Filly, while the Reserve title went to
another beautiful filly, *Sophie El Power (Power World

Al campionato finale non ci sono state grosse sorprese,

Sanchi si aggiudica il titolo di Campionessa, titolo Riserva

Titolo di Campione Stalloni per lo splendido *Hannibal
By Gioia (SDP Taylor x Gioia APS) che si aggiudica
anche il premio “miglior cavallo nato e di
proprietà italiana”, presentato da Franck Sponle e di
proprietà dell’Arabian Stars di Massimiliano Rocchino.
Riserva per l’altrettanto carismatico *Ghajariy
(Khidar x Esta-Passada) presentato da Franck Sponle
e di proprietà di Fontanella Magic Arabians.
Si conclude questa bella edizione della festa del psa
a Bettona. In attesa della prossima edizione, a cui vi

the prize for the “best horse born and owned in Italy”,
presented by Franck Sponle and owned by the Arabian
Stars of Massimiliano Rocchino. Another charming
stallion, *Ghajariy (Khidar x Esta-Passada), presented
by Franck Sponle and owned by Fontanella Magic Arabians,
won the Reserve Champion title.
That was the end for this really enjoyable edition of the
PBA show in Bettona. While we wait for next year’s edition,
