Alghero, il “porto delle alghe” sembra quasi riassumere tutte le bellezze della Sardegna. Tra le vie del centro risuona il dialetto catalano, che gli abitanti del posto parlano fin dal Duecento. Una visita alla Cattedrale, con la bella cupola in maiolica, ed è già ora di scoprire i segreti della cucina locale. I piatti da non perdere sono l’aragosta alla catalana, il risotto alla pescatora, i pesci con le cipolle, la zuppa di scampi. View of the harbour from the Cathedral In Logudoro In Alghero, among the cuisine and the Catalan dialect, artistic treasures and places: artichokes, sunflowers and the seadas (sweet cheese and honey fritters). Alghero, “the algae harbour”, seems to almost summarise every form of beauty found in Sardinia. The Catalan dialect, which locals have spoken ever since the thirteenth century, resonates in the streets in the centre of town. Lobster ‘alla catalana’ (boiled and sprinkled with olive oil, tomato and onion), fish risotto, fish with onions, and shrimp soup are highlights of the local cuisine.
