Taxonomic ListREMARKS: The specimens from Brazil identified as Leucandraglobosa Sarà, 1951 are here included in the synonymof Leucandra rudifera. Burton (1963) considered theseand several other species, including the homonymousLeucandra globosa Tanita, 1943, as synonyms ofLeucandra barbata (as Leuconia). We prefer to considerthem as separate species until a more complete studyis done. The Brazilian specimens are more similar to L.rudifera and, if they prove to be synonymous, the nameL. rudifera would have priority.K Grantessa anisactina Borojevic & Peixinho, 1976Grantessa anisactina Borojevic & Peixinho, 1976: 1013.TYPE SPECIMENS: Holotype MNHN.LBIM.C 1975-3.Schizoholotype MNRJ 039.TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil: Paraíba State: Off Pitimbu (7 o 29’S–34 o 29’W).BRAZILIAN RECORDS: Northeast Region: Paraíba State: OffPitimbu (Calypso sta. 2, 7 o 29’S–34 o 29’W, 42 m depth;Borojevic & Peixinho, 1976 [original description]).WORLD DISTRIBUTION: Endemic from Brazil.K Leucandra hentschelii Brøndsted, 1931Leucandra hentschelii Brøndsted, 1931: 40.Leuconia hentschelii, Borojevic, 1967: 220; Borojevic &Peixinho, 1976: 1030.TYPE SPECIMENS: Unknown.TYPE LOCALITY: South Africa: Simonstown.BRAZILIAN RECORDS: Northeast Region: Pernambuco State:Off Cabo de Santo Agostinho (08 o 16’07”S–34 o 54’01”W,14.5 m depth; Borojevic & Peixinho, 1976 [description]).Off Recife (08 o 10’04”S–34 o 45’05”W, 29.5 m depth;Borojevic & Peixinho, 1976 [description]).WORLD DISTRIBUTION: South Africa (Brøndsted, 1931; Borojevic,1967).K Leucandra serrata Azevedo & Klautau, 2007Leucandra serrata Azevedo & Klautau, 2007: 11; Muricy etal., 2008: 126; Lanna et al., 2009: 16; Ignacio et al., 2010:Table S1.TYPE SPECIMENS: Holotype UFRJPOR 4878.
