Come sviluppare il VIM?The following are guidance principles proposed to drive the process of VIM4development. They are not absolute references: for each choice to be made,they are aimed at being fulfilled as long as it is possible. Such principlesassume that the Scope of the VIM4 has been already agreed upon.Stability: any change to the VIM3 should have a cogent justification.Internal consistency: the VIM definitions should be coherent with each other(in other terms: no two definitions should contradict with each other).External consistency: the VIM definitions should be coherent with the usage inthe scientific and technical community.Philosophical agnosticism: the VIM definitions should be formulatedindependently of any philosophical position.Closure: all Scope-related concepts referred to in one or more VIM definitionsshould be defined in the VIM itself.Inclusion: a concept should be included in the VIM if there is consensus on itsrelevance (i) to the Scope or, less importantly, (ii) to the structure of the VIMconcept system.
