PRODIGY BACKSistemi di raffreddamento per <strong>Rack</strong> ad alta densitàSTULZ ha ideato e sviluppato un nuovo sistema modulareintegrato per il raffreddamento di server-rack ad alta densità.Il Modulo Prodigy Back viene installato posteriormenteal server-rack, dimensioni compatte ed elevate potenzespecifiche permetto di raggiungere elevati carichi termici sulsingolo server rack senza che questo generi surriscaldamentonegli apparati adiacenti.Il sistema Prodigy Back può esserefornito in configurazioni diverse per quanto riguarda il sistemadi raffreddamento e la gestione del flusso d’aria, questo permeglio adattarsi alle specifiche esigenze di ogni datacenter.Ilsistema di raffreddamento può essere ad espansione diretta(DX) con gas refrigerante R410A oppure ad acqua refrigerata(CW), il flusso dell’aria può essere gestito in architettura aperta(fig.2,fig.5) oppure in architettura chiusa (fig.1,fig.1a,fig.4)nel primo caso l’aria riscaldata dai server viene raffreddata erimandata in circolo nell’ambiente circostante, nel secondocaso, l’aria dopo essere stata raffreddata viene spintaall’interno dei vani laterali del rack verso la parte frontale doveviene aspirata nuovamente per raffreddare server.Fig. 1STULZ has develop and designed a new integrated modularcooling system suitable for high density server rack.Prodigy Back it’s available in different versions concerning therefrigerant circuit and airflow management. The refrigerantcircuit it’s available in direct expansion (DX) version with R410Arefrigerant gas, or in chilled water version. According to thedatacenter requirements, are available in open or closed looparchitecture, in the open architecture version the air flowheated by the servers it’s cooled by the Prodigy cooling coilsand blown into the room, in the closed loop version there isa full recirculation of the air inside the rack enclosure, the airflow heated by the servers it’s cooled by the Prodigy coolingcoils and it’s blown on the front side of the server through thelateral side auxiliary service duct of rack enclosure.Fig. 1aFig. 24
