Messages<br />
Follow the instructions below if a message appears in the display.<br />
Message Meaning Remedy<br />
AVLS (blinks)<br />
CANNOT EXECUTE<br />
The volume level exceeds the<br />
rated value while<br />
“AVLS(Volume Limit)” is<br />
enabled.<br />
You are trying to preset/<br />
delete broadcast stations<br />
while the player is not in the<br />
FM function.<br />
You are trying to change the<br />
equalizer setting while the<br />
Bass function is activated.<br />
Turn the volume down or<br />
disable “AVLS(Volume Limit)”<br />
( page 46).<br />
Change the function to<br />
“FM”, and then preset/delete<br />
broadcast stations.<br />
Disable the Bass function,<br />
and then change the<br />
equalizer setting.<br />
CHARGING The battery is being charged. This is not an error. Wait until<br />
the battery is charged fully.<br />
However, you can use the<br />
player with the battery not<br />
charged fully.<br />
DRM ERROR<br />
EXPIRED<br />
FILE ERROR<br />
HOLD<br />
An unauthorized distribution<br />
file is detected for copyright<br />
protection.<br />
You are trying to play a song<br />
that has an expiration/<br />
playback time restriction.<br />
The file cannot be read.<br />
The file is not normal.<br />
The player cannot play<br />
certain files because of<br />
incompatible formats.<br />
Transferring has been<br />
interrupted.<br />
The player cannot be o<strong>per</strong>ated<br />
because the HOLD switch is<br />
set to the HOLD position.<br />
Transfer the normal audio file<br />
back to the computer and<br />
then format the built-in flash<br />
memory.<br />
Update the license<br />
information of songs using<br />
the software used for transfer.<br />
If the song which cannot be<br />
played is unnecessary, you can<br />
delete it from the built-in<br />
flash memory.<br />
