LILT, la cultura della prevenzione<br />
IL MELANOMA CUTANEO: autoesame e controlli periodici<br />
per una corretta diagnosi precoce<br />
LILT (Lega Italiana per la Lotta contri i Tumori)<br />
è un Ente Pubblico di notevole rilievo su base associati<br />
va vigilato dal Ministero della Salute ed impegnato nella<br />
lotta contro i tumori. Dal 1922 opera senza fini di lucro<br />
su tutto il territorio nazionale svolgendo un ruolo fonda<br />
mentale nella promozione di attività di educazione alla<br />
salute, di sensibilizzazione alla diagnosi precoce e all’as<br />
sistenza psico-fisica del paziente oncologico. Obiettivo<br />
della LILT è promuovere la cultura della prevenzione<br />
come stile di vita perché prevenire è vivere!<br />
Il melanoma è il più aggressivo dei tumori della pelle.<br />
Origina dalla mutazione maligna dei melanociti, le cellule<br />
della pelle che producono la melanina. Tumori anche di<br />
piccole dimensioni possono avere un decorso molto<br />
grave. L’incidenza, che è in progressivo aumento in tutto<br />
il mondo negli ultimi decenni, viene imputata in parte<br />
alla crescente ed eccessiva esposizione al sole. In Italia<br />
l’incidenza è tendenzialmente in aumento sia nei maschi<br />
(+4,4% anno) sia nelle donne (+3,1% anno) ed è più fre<br />
quente al Nord. Nell’ Unione Europea l’incidenza di mela<br />
noma è attualmente 9 casi ogni 100.000 abitanti/anno.<br />

Il melanoma continua pertanto ad essere, per la bassa<br />
sopravvivenza in stadi avanzati, un problema di sanità<br />
pubblica a cui contribuisce anche l’invecchiamento pro<br />
gressivo della popolazione.<br />
Ne abbiamo parlato con la Dr.ssa Bianca Bernardini,<br />
Specialista in Dermatologia presso la LILT di Padova.<br />
È possibile prevenire il melanoma cutaneo?<br />
Certo! Le strategie preventive a nostra disposizione si<br />
basano su due approcci ben precisi e fra loro<br />
complementari: la prevenzione primaria (corretti stili di<br />
vita) che in questo ambito consiste nell’evitare,<br />
soprattutto per i bambini, scottature ed esposizioni<br />
prolungate e violente della cute ai raggi solari, in<br />
particolare nelle ore centrali della giornata. E’<br />
raccomandato inoltre l’utilizzo di creme solari ad alta<br />
protezione che per essere efficaci devono essere appli appli<br />
cate più volte nella giornata, essere resistenti all’acqua e<br />
contenere filtri sia per raggi UVA sia UVB. La prevenzione<br />
secondaria (diagnosi precoce) con controlli clinici<br />
della cute indicativamente dai 18 anni in poi, che<br />
andrebbero effettuati ogni 1-2 anni a seconda dei fattori<br />

LILT (Italian League for the Fight against Tumors)<br />
is a Public Body Association of considerable importance<br />
supervised by the Ministry of Health and engaged in the<br />
fight against cancer. Since 1922 it has operated in a nonprofit<br />
capacity throughout Italy, playing a fundamental<br />
role in promoting health education activities, raising<br />
awareness of early diagnosis and psycho-physical assistance<br />
for cancer patients. The aim of LILT is to promote<br />
the culture of prevention as a lifestyle because prevention<br />
means living!<br />
Melanoma is the most aggressive of skin cancers. The<br />
melanin-producing cells of the melanocyte, originate<br />
from the malignant mutation. Even small tumors can<br />
have a very serious effect. The incidence, which is<br />
increasing all over the world in recent decades, is partly<br />
attributed to the increasing and excessive exposure to<br />
the sun. In Italy the incidence tends to increase both in<br />
males (+ 4.4% year) and in women (+ 3.1% year) and<br />
is more frequent in the North. Across the European<br />
Union the incidence of melanoma is currently 9 cases<br />
per 100,000 inhabitants / year. (Source AIOM 2018<br />
Guidelines).<br />
Therefore, due to low survival in advanced stages,<br />
melanoma continues to be a public health problem<br />
which also contributes to the progressive aging of the<br />
population.<br />
We talked about it with Dr. Bianca Bernardini,<br />
Dermatology Specialist at the LILT of Padua.<br />
Can skin melanoma be prevented?<br />
Sure! The preventive strategies at our disposal are<br />
based on two very precise and complementary approaches:<br />
primary prevention (correct lifestyles) which in<br />
this area consists of avoiding sunburn and prolonged<br />
and violent skin exposure to solar rays especially for<br />
children, in particular in the central hours of the day. It<br />
is also recommended to use high protection sunscreens<br />
which, to be effective, must be applied several<br />
times a day, be water resistant and contain filters for<br />
both UVA and UVB rays. Secondary prevention (early<br />
diagnosis) with clinical skin checks from 18 years<br />
onwards, which should be performed every 1-2 years<br />
depending on the personal risk factors identified by<br />
the dermatologist. Early diagnosis is the winning wea-
di rischio personali individuati dal dermatologo. La dia<br />
gnosi precoce rappresenta l’arma vincente nella lotta al<br />
tumore, la sua scoperta in fase inziale permette cure<br />
meno aggressive e maggiori possibilità di guarigione.<br />
Quali sono gli esami che consentono una diagnosi<br />
precoce?<br />
L’esame principale è la visita dermatologica completa<br />
della cute nella quale il dermatologo valuta la storia<br />
familiare e i fattori di rischio del singolo paziente e l’e<br />
ventuale presenza di segni di sospetto di melanoma<br />
cutaneo o di altri tumori della pelle. Il dermatologo utiliz<br />
za uno strumento chiamato dermatoscopio, una specia<br />
le tecnica di ingrandimento e illuminazione della pelle<br />
per poter meglio valutare le caratteristiche microscopi<br />
che di ogni lesione cutanea. La diagnosi certa di melano<br />
ma cutaneo richiede, nei casi di sospetto clinico, una<br />
biopsia, in cui un campione di tessuto viene prelevato,<br />
previa anestesia locale, e analizzato al microscopio. La<br />
LILT di Padova è impegnata da oltre 30 anni nella pre<br />
venzione e diagnosi precoce del melanoma cutaneo con<br />
campagne di informazione e attraverso un servizio<br />
ambulatoriale di diagnosi precoce altamente specializzato<br />
e collegato alle principali strutture sanitarie pub<br />
bliche del territorio.<br />
AUTOESAME DELLA CUTE: Il Sistema A B C D E<br />
Il melanoma, insorgendo sulla cute, è facilmente visibile<br />
e pertanto può essere sospettato già dal paziente con un<br />
“autoesame della pelle”, che deve essere effettuato<br />
periodicamente. Statisticamente il melanoma è più fre<br />
quente alle gambe nelle donne e al dorso nell’uomo. Per<br />
un corretto autoesame è necessario spogliarsi comple<br />
tamente ed osservare tutta la superficie cutanea, incluso<br />
il cuoio capelluto, la regione ano-genitale, le pieghe<br />
interdigitali, la pianta dei piedi e i palmi delle mani,<br />
facendosi aiutare da un familiare o utilizzando due spec<br />
chi per evidenziare le zone meno accessibili.<br />
Il Sistema A B C D E è un semplice algoritmo che aiuta<br />
ad individuare i segnali d’allarme. I criteri per individuare<br />
le lesioni sospette sono i seguenti:<br />
• A = asimmetria della lesione<br />
• B = bordi irregolari, frastagliati<br />
• C = colore policromo o nero<br />
• D = dimensioni > 6 mm di diametro<br />
• E = evoluzione: (parametro più importante) modifica<br />
zioni in dimensione, forma e colore in un breve periodo<br />
di tempo (6-8 mesi) nel paziente di età superiore ai<br />
25-30 anni.<br />

What are the tests that allow an early diagnosis?<br />
The main examination is the complete dermatological<br />
examination of the skin in which the dermatologist<br />
evaluates the family history and risk factors of the<br />
individual patient and the possible presence of signs<br />
of suspicion of cutaneous melanoma or other skin<br />
cancers. The dermatologist uses a tool called a dermatoscope,<br />
a special technique for enlarging and illuminating<br />
the skin to better evaluate the microscopic<br />
characteristics of each skin lesion. The accurate diagnosis<br />
of cutaneous melanoma requires, in cases of<br />
clinical suspicion, a biopsy, in which a sample of tissue<br />
is taken, under local anesthesia, and analyzed<br />
under a microscope. The LILT of Padua has been<br />
engaged for over 30 years in the prevention and early<br />
diagnosis of cutaneous melanoma with information<br />
campaigns and through a highly specialized outpatient<br />
early diagnosis service connected to the main public<br />
health facilities in the area.<br />
AUTOEXAMINATION OF THE SKIN: The System A B C D<br />
Melanoma, arising on the skin, is easily visible and therefore<br />
can be suspected by the patient with a “self-examination<br />
of the skin”, which must be carried out periodically.<br />
Statistically, melanoma is more common in the legs in<br />
women and in the back in men. For a correct self-examination<br />
it is necessary to completely undress and observe<br />
the entire skin surface, including the scalp, the anogenital<br />
region, the interdigital folds, the soles of the feet<br />
and the palms of the hands, being helped by a family<br />
member or using two mirrors to highlight the least<br />
accessible areas.<br />
The A B C D E System is a simple algorithm that helps<br />
to identify alarm signals. The criteria for detecting<br />
suspicious lesions are the following:<br />
• A = asymmetry of the lesion<br />
• B = irregular, jagged edges<br />
• C = polychrome or black color<br />
• D = dimensions> 6 mm in diameter<br />
• E = evolution: (most important parameter) changes in<br />
size, shape and color in a short period of time (6-8<br />
months) in patients over 25-30 years old.<br />

guarantee quality assistance at a fair and accessible cost throughout<br />

Manrico Baldo (Padova, 1972) - alias Zero Mentale - Diplomato presso l’Istituto d’Arte P. Selvatico<br />
di Padova, si è successivamente laureato in Architettura a Venezia.<br />
Formatosi nella tecnica dell’areografia e nella ricerca di nuovi materiali è in continua evoluzione<br />
emozionale tra esperienza e pittura. La passione per l’aerografia segna un importante apporto<br />
all’identità artistica di Zero Mentale. Un interesse che in breve tempo lo porta a un affinamento<br />
nella gestione e nella tecnica dei materiali.<br />
Grazie al sapiente utilizzo di svariate vernici, le opere assumono in breve una superficie patinata e<br />
traslucida e si distinguono per il forte impatto visivo, il valore stilistico e la precisione del tratto.<br />
Dal 2005, presentandosi con il nome di “Zero Mentale”, Manrico Baldo trasforma le sue sensazioni<br />
in istinti, in forme che si sintetizzano in un concetto di annullamento, da cui il nome Zero Mentale, con la volontà di lasciarsi alle spalle le<br />
esperienze precedenti a favore di nuove sperimentazioni.<br />
Il punto di partenza è una formulazione di osservazione che si proietta nelle sue composizioni attraverso la creazione di un “impulso<br />
mentale” detto sinapsi che vede la genesi, partendo da una terminazione nervosa, di un complesso viaggio di un pensiero che si snoda<br />
tra forme e colori. Sinapsi significa “toccare” e “connettere” due terminologie che consentono la comunicazione e la strutturazione di un<br />
concetto. Il lavoro dell’artista si basa sulla composizione pittorica di configurazioni che inscenano la nascita di una forma.<br />
Zero Mentale fissa non tanto la formulazione di un “impulso mentale” quanto quella di un “impulso creativo”: dà voce ai pensieri in<br />
maniera surreale, si è davanti al predominio di un mondo creato solo da suggestioni, quello che arriva agli occhi dello spettatore sono le<br />
basi della creazione mentale così come immaginate dal suo autore.<br />
L’artista Zero Mentale, figlio di un’arte contemporanea sempre più urban life, negli ultimi anni si è avvicinato al mondo della Street art,<br />
cimentandosi in opere murarie. Sui muri nascono cosi graffiti e messaggi per il cuore contemporaneo della vita metropolitana; l’uso di<br />
spray, vernici, aerografo, stencil fa si che il messaggio passi sulla pelle della città.<br />

Trained in the technique of aerography and in the search for new materials, he is constantly evolving between experience and painting. The<br />
passion for aerography marks an important contribution to the artistic identity of Zero Mentale. An interest that in a short time leads him to<br />
a refinement in the management and technique of materials.<br />
Thanks to the wise use of various paints, the works quickly take on a patinated and translucent surface and stand out for their strong visual<br />
impact, stylistic value and the precision of the line.<br />
Since 2005, presenting himself with the name “Zero Mental”, Manrico Baldo transforms his feelings into instincts, into forms that are summarized<br />
in a concept of annulment, from which the name Zero Mentale, with the desire to leave behind previous experiences in favor of new<br />
experiments.<br />
The starting point is an observation formulation that is projected into his compositions through the creation of a “mental impulse” called<br />
synapse which sees the genesis, starting from a nervous termination, of a complex journey of a thought that winds through forms and colors.<br />
Sinapsi means “touching” and “connecting” two terminologies that allow the communication and structuring of a concept. The artist’s work<br />
is based on the pictorial composition of configurations that stage the birth of a form.<br />
Zero Mental fixes not so much the formulation of a “mental impulse” as that of a “creative impulse”:<br />
it gives a voice to thoughts in a surreal way, one is in front of the dominance of a world created<br />
only by suggestions, that which reaches the eyes of the spectator are the bases of mental creation<br />
as imagined by its author.<br />
The artist Zero Mentale, son of a contemporary art more and more urban life, in recent years has<br />
approached the world of Street art, venturing into masonry works. On the walls graffiti and messages<br />
are born for the contemporary heart of metropolitan life; the use of sprays, paints,<br />
airbrushes and stencils causes the message to pass over the skin of the city.<br />

Non c’è più la carne di una volta” è un’affermazione<br />
che spesso si sente, con toni che sottolineano qualità<br />
negative come la durezza delle carni che al tempo stes<br />
so si vogliono magre e tenere.<br />
Spesso si scorda che la qualità deriva dai metodi di<br />
produzione che partendo dall’allevamento degli animali<br />
arriva al banco della macelleria o del supermercato.<br />
Il sistema di allevamento piu’ utilizzato, anche in Italia,<br />
è quello “intensivo” che ha certamente permesso un<br />
abbattimento del costo del prodotto finale a discapito<br />
pero’ della qualità degli animali con conseguente pro<br />
duzione di alimenti non sempre idonei alla salute dei<br />
consumatori.<br />
Nella bottega delle carni di Massimo Capelozza l’ob<br />
biettivo è quello di invertire la attuale tendenza del<br />
mercato preferendo la filiera corta, garanzia di qualità<br />
ed eccellenza.<br />
L’attenzione alla qualità di vita degli animali e l’effettiva<br />
possibilità di controllo su di essi rende il rapporto qua<br />
lità prezzo assolutamente equo se si pensa, per altro al<br />
beneficio che ne consegue per la salute dei consuma<br />
tori.<br />
Dopotutto anche Fabrizio De Andrè diceva “Noi siamo<br />
dei venditori. Bisogna vedere se siamo abbastanza<br />
onesti da vendere carne fresca oppure carne marcia.”<br />

A.N.E.I. sta raccogliendo oggetti, scritti, ricordi che i militari sono riusciti<br />
a portare a casa dai Lager quando sono stati liberati.<br />

The exhibition, set up at the Museo degli Alpini in Piazza San Martino in<br />
Conegliano, will be inaugurated on Saturday 13 April at 17.30. The<br />
Alpini of Conegliano will host the exhibition until January 27th 2020,<br />
Memorial Day.<br />
In these days A.N.E.I. he is collecting objects, writings, memories that<br />
the military managed to bring home from the Lager when they were<br />

storica del passaggio delle zattere sul fiume Brenta,<br />

1300 fino alla fine del 1800. Sei secoli d’intensa attività economica<br />
legata all’economia del legname, portati a valle dagli “zattieri” lungo la<br />

hotel, the frozen body of a woman is found, presumably<br />
frozen to death. From the first researches, it appears<br />

as well as for her inquiries into xenophobic movements<br />
in Sweden. Was it really an accident? From his<br />
hotel room the computer is missing, and someone has<br />
clearly searched through his things: couldn’t it have been<br />
rather a political crime? Or a revenge against the journalist<br />
for a few too many words of his? To investigate is the<br />
inspector Thomas Andreasson, forced to leave his wife<br />
and daughter of a few months just on holidays.<br />
Meanwhile, Nora Linde, a lawyer and her friend has<br />
always faced very different problems: her professional<br />
integrity is under discussion and she, with her back to<br />
the wall, must understand to what extent her career really<br />
counts in her existence. Against the backdrop of the<br />
stormy scenario of the Nordic winter, Thomas’s investigation<br />
of the island and the capital tries to get to the bottom<br />
of the life of a brave woman who, apparently, had<br />
not been able to offer her neighbor the same dedication<br />
to work. The more the inspector learns to know her, the<br />
more complex Jeanette’s portrait becomes,<br />
leaving unfulfilled hopes and<br />
silenced stories to emerge, which for<br />
