GOING OUT Mme. Tussauds

GOING OUT Mme. Tussauds CULTURAL ENTERTAINMENT What would you give to meet your favourite star and stand right next to them? Berlin’s new attraction Mme. Tussauds will even give you the opportunity to get a picture with your idol. So don’t forget your camera! Since its opening on July 5th, 2008, visitors have been fascinated by the 75 wax celebrities. A walkway featuring stars of feature films is followed by another section featuring political and historical figures. There is also an interactive part with sport celebrities such as Oliver Kahn and Henry Maske. The celebs range from Morgan Freeman to the Beatles and from Angela Merkel to John F. Kennedy. Visitors are also able to move the wax works. The quality of the life size wax figures is astonishingly good as they are exquisitely detailed from head to toe. The east of Berlin offers two race courses: the Trabrennbahn Karlshorst and the Galopprennbahn Hoppegarten. In the southwest you will find the Trabrennbahn Mariendorf. Just for the fun, you take the opportunity to bet on a horse. Of course, for those who don’t like to tempt fate, the sheer speed of the horses can be exciting on its own.
