SafetySlugOut is unpalatable to dogs and cats and has no effect on earthwormsor beneficial insect populations. Poisoned slugs or snails post no threatto birds or small mammals. The green colour also deters birds.Directions for useBroadcast: (preferred option)Use 10 -15kg/ha (100 - 150g/100m 2 ). Use high rate where slug/snailnumbers are high. Broadcast evenly over the surface of the ground orband along the plant/drill rows. Apply by hand or through most granuleor fertiliser applicators. For small areas use about 6g (1 teaspoon) per sq m.For crop establishment apply baits prior to sowing (1-5 days), at sowingor immediately after sowing. Split appilcations often give the best results.Apply half the baits (5-7.5kg/ha) 1-2 weeks prior to sowing and theother half at sowing. For emerged or established crops apply immediatelydamage appears.Drilling with seed:Drill 10kg/ha into furrow with seed. Use only in situations where thedrill leaves a distinct open drill slot allowing the slugs easy accessto the germinating seeds in the furrow (if in doubt broadcast baitsas above). Distribute through granule applicator hopper or mix thoroughlywith the seed.- Superior coverage- Durable under wet conditions- A better killMarketed by Nufarm6 Manu Street, Otahuhu, Auckland, NZ.Phone: (09) 268 2920 Fax: (09) 267 8444Photographs courtesy of M.
