Filters and maintenance
Grease filters:
Metal-mesh filters are used to trap the grease
particles in the cooking vapours.
The filter mats are made from noncombustible
metal.
Caution:
As the filter becomes more and more saturated with
grease, there is an increased risk of fire and the
function of the extractor hood may be impaired.
Important:
By cleaning the metal grease filters at appropriate
intervals, the possibility of them catching fire as a result
of a build-up of heat such as occurs when deepfat
frying or roasting is taking place, is reduced.
Filters can be washed in the dish machine. They
need to be washed every 2 month, or even more
frequently in case of particularly intensive use of the
hood.
Removing and inserting metal self- supporting
grease filters
First unhook the filter-holding Grid by pressing
to the top to make it open.
Unhook the security chain by opening the
shackle, then lift the grid upward.

Remove the filters one by one.
Any kind of bending of the filters has to be
avoided when washing them. Before fitting
them again into the hood make sure that they
are completely dry. (The colour of the filter surface
may change throughout the time but this
has no influence to the filter efficiency).
Put the clean filters back on the Grid in its place
Hook the security chain and put back the Grid
onto the hood
To open the Grid, push strongly on the
points indicated by the stickers.
