Check the appliance for damages prior to each use. If the appliance, the cord or the plug
exhibit visible damages, the appliance may not be used. Do not use the appliance if it malfunctions
or has fallen down.
If the appliance is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In the event of damage,
contact customer service (see section “Customer service”).
In the event of damages/malfunctions, immediately deactivate the appliance.
Pull the mains plug from the socket
– if you do not plan to use the appliance for a prolonged period of time,
– if a defect occurs while in use,
– before a storm,
– before you clean it.
If you wish to remove the mains plug from the socket, never pull on the cable, but always
on the plug.
Never submerge the appliance in water or other liquids! Make sure that the appliance, the
cord or the plug do not fall in water or are at risk of getting wet. If the appliance falls in
water, immediately disconnect the power supply.
Never touch the appliance, the cord or the plug with wet hands.
Do not leave the appliance activated when unattended.
Do not allow the appliance to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
Only use fresh (drinking) water for making coffee that has a cold to moderately warm
temperature. Don’t add any hot water!
Do not use the appliance without water.
Never use the appliance without one of the enclosed insulated fl asks.
The prepared coffee is hot. Be careful when pouring it into cups, other vessels and when
consuming it!
Scalding hazard due to hot steam! Do not open the water tank lid during the brewing process!
Do not add any water to the coffee maker once it has been turned on. You could scald
yourself – in the worst case – due to the sudden emission of steam.
The fi lter may not be pivoted out and the fl ask may not be removed during the brewing
process.
The heating plate may become very hot. Do not touch it and do not set any objects on it.
Only use accessories that are contained in the product contents or which have been expressly
recommended by the manufacturer.
Be absolutely sure to turn off the appliance before you start the next brewing process.
Do not place the appliance underneath overhanging cupboards or the like. The steam emitted
could damage them!
Warranty conditions
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts to repair the appliance are
excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear.
