Your brain actually listensto your gut feelingCeylin GünThe gut-brain axis is a bidirectional communication pathwaybetween the central nervous system and the enteric nervous system.The central nervous system consists (CNS) of the brain and thespinal cord. The enteric nervous system is the largest component ofthe autonomic nervous system which controls bodily functions likebreathing, heartbeat, and digestive functions. The enteric nervoussystem (ENS) is responsible for the digestive part of the autonomicnervous system by governing the gastrointestinal tract.
