How to connect a Computer, iPod Shuffle or another MP3 player to the Geneva
Sound System using the 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) input?
1. If there is an iPod in the dock of the Geneva Sound System, please remove it.
2. Use the enclosed MP3 Player cable to connect to a Computer, an iPod Shuffle or any
other type of MP3 player that can be connected with such cable. Insert MP3 Player
cable plug into the 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) auxiliary audio input located on the panel under
the lid on top of the cabinet, between the 4 keys.
3. Plug the cable into the headset output connector from the MP3 player.
4. Press the iPod key on the remote control and start playing the contents of the device
you have connected.
Note that you cannot control any such device using the Geneva Sound System remote
control, but instead using controls available for the connected device.
How to connect a TV, Computer, VCR, DVD player or a game console to the
Geneva Sound System using the “Line In” input?
1. Connect the device to be used as audio source to the Geneva Sound System using the enclosed Line in
(RCA) cable or a coaxial/optical cable. The cable has to be connected to the Line In connector (RCA Jack
input 1 or 2) or coaxial/optical input (Digi 2/1), located on the Rear Panel of the Cabinet.
2. Connect one of the IR extenders to one of the IR OUT plugs, located on the Rear Panel of the amplifier.
Place the other end of the cable (IR transmitter) into the compartment with the door, entering from the
back side. Place the IR transmitter close to the front panel where the IR receiver is located on the audio
source equipment .The IR transmitter enclosed in the accessory pack has an adhesive tape on the
backside to firmly fix it on the shelf. Up to three IR extenders can be used to control three different
devices placed on three different shelves.
3. Depending on the device that you have connected as an external audio source, select the „Sat“, „TV“
or „DVD“ key on the remote control to identify this source. The display will then show the source that is
selected (Line 1, Line 2, Digi 1 or Digi 2). In case the wrong source is selected, you can change the
selection using the „Setup“ button. The display will then show the new source which has been selected
(Line 1, Line 2, Digi 1 or Digi 2). As soon as the correct source is selected, the system will start playing
the content of the device you have connected. Assuming the universal remote is programmed correctly,
you can also control the connected device.
