Desenvolvemos iniciativas de angariação de fundos
com o objetivo de promover a interação entre a
comunidade científica, o setor privado e o público
em geral, e de aumentar o financiamento da investigação
biomédica em Portugal.

O envolvimento da sociedade no financiamento da investigação
biomédica tem sido crucial para o progresso do
conhecimento e para o seu impacto no bem estar e no desenvolvimento
económico.
The involvement of society in biomedical research funding has been crucial
for progress in knowledge and any real impact on the well-being and the economic
development of societies.
We develop fundraising initiatives with
the aim of promoting interactions between
the scientific community, the
private sector and the general public,
and of increasing funding for biomedical
research in Portugal.

Parceria IGC - Everything is New
• Teve início em 2007;
• Financiamento pela Everything is New, promotora do festival de
música e arte OptimusAlive!Oeiras, de duas bolsas de investigação
científica por ano para recém-licenciados;
• Presença do IGC no festival OptimusAlive!Oeiras.
“Solidários até à Medula”
Maratona televisiva de angariação de fundos organizada pela Associação
Portuguesa contra a Leucemia (APCL) em colaboração com
o IGC e com o canal televisivo nacional RTP1. Incluiu também os
seguintes eventos:
• Participação de cientistas no “Mexa-se na Marginal”, um evento
desportivo organizado todos os anos pela Câmara Municipal de
Oeiras;
• O jogo de futebol “Sporting Solidário” entre cientistas de diferentes
instituições e celebridades, organizado pelo Sporting Clube de
Portugal.
Produtos de angariação de fundos do IGC
• “Calendário Ciência” do IGC, uma parceria com o jornal Público e
a empresa Bayer;
• “Coleção Ciência” do IGC, uma parceria com a empresa de porcelana
Vista Alegre.

• Started in 2007;
• Sponsorship by Everything is New, promoter of the music and arts OptimusAlive!
Oeiras festival, of two research fellowships per year for young graduates;
• IGC presence at OptimusAlive!Oeiras.
“Solidários até à Medula”
A TV fundraising marathon organised in collaboration with Associação Portuguesa
contra a Leucemia (APCL) and the national broadcaster RTP1. It also included the
following events:
• Participation of scientists in “Mexa-se na Marginal”, a sports event organised by the
Oeiras Council;
• “Sporting Solidário” football match between scientists from different scientific institutions
and celebrities, organised by Sporting Clube de Portugal.
