phone. I decided to call the number: “who is calling me?” said the man. I replied “Emma is on the
line” and he said “here is Peter, psychic detective. What’s your problem?”
I explained the whole story to him, and he told me he would come the next day. I went to
sleep. When I woke up, I went to see if my brother had already woken up but he wasn’t in his bed. I
looked for him all over the house and nothing, so when I looked to the window there he was,
floating in the pool. I went down immediately but there was no time. Jerry my little brother had
drowned .The funeral was on the same day. Mom and dad were devastated. In the early evening,
Peter came to my house and started his job.
He turned off all the lights from every room and then turned on a special light that could see
the messages of the ghosts. In Jonny’s room the phrase “I’m going to do with your parents what I
did to your brother” was on the wall. I was very frightened, and so was Peter. He said he would pick
up his notebook in his house, but he never came back.
Two weeks later, Peter’s body was found in the river, without both of his eyes and his
tongue. The weirdest thing is that the cops said that they had found the same symbol that was in
Jonny’s room, and now?????? I WAS ALONE!
The next day, I decided to search about detectives who were linked to murders and I decided
to call one of them. His name was Derek, I told him the whole story, but without the part of the
ghosts, he said he would come in the next day to investigate more closely.
As soon as he arrived at the house, the butler opened the door and disappeared, just in front
of the detective. I met him personally and we talked and at the end of the whole conversation he
said “I believe that the house is haunted and fear that other murders can happen in this place, don’t
you think?”
He said he would do a ritual do play the ghosts out of the house, but as soon as he began, my
father passed out and never woke up. I didn’t know what he was doing there, he couldn’t be there.
Mark said that the ghosts had probably done that, because they were mad with us and wanted to kill
everyone, but the ghosts didn’t have time to kill all of us. The ritual was complete, but then we
realized that my mom and I were the only ones left.
Today we live in New York. My mom is a very famous writer and I’m in the last year of
college. And, thank God, after all we have a normal life, but all the memories about my father and
Jonny stay in our hearts.
