In The Garden, Issue One 13ZEZ: What’s your favourite memory during a Conference?EO: On my second conference, I was the delegate of China; everyone was againstmy resolution. Initially, there were 15 delegates against me, and it was reallyfunny because people kept on attacking me, but I still made up points, and I won‘Best Delegate’. That felt wonderful to me, as it was one of my biggestaccomplishments, because it shows that I can work under pressure, and that Idid my research to prove my points.ZEZ: Do you think everyone should go to atleast one MUN conference? Why?EO: Yes they should in their lifetime. It looks at whythey exist, how they are set up and how they arerun.If you did not do Business in IGCSE, Worry not asyou will still be able to do A level Business withoutworrying about being behind as the core contentsbetween IGCSE and A level Business are relativelysimilar.What will you get from Business AS and A2Which subjects combine well withBusiness?A level Business is a Practical andhighly useful subject. It is thefoundation to a degree and works withthe many aspects of business but canalso support Art, ICT or Graphicscareer if you are looking for a practicalway to use your skills in those areas. Italso provides a balance to moretheoretical subjects and this is manystudents choice and enjoy it as a thirdor fourth option.You'll learn how to analyse competitive environments and markets. It assesses how ethical,environmental and technological factors influence decision making, understanding howdecisions made may affect stakeholders and how they will respond. You'll also develop yourcritical analysis, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
