ACSN Brunei – Freme Travel Services Sdn.

Bhd.

Brunei is hoping to relax our borders by

December 2021 or early January 2022 and

Royal Brunei Airline (BI) will resume more

VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lane) and RGL

(Reciprocal Green Lane) flights.

For the time being we are targeting

Singapore, Japan and Korea markets by

early next year (2022).

Our staff take this opportunity to do some

renovation works and improve our facilities

at Freme Rainforest Lodge in Temburong.

Freme Rainforest Lodge and Adventure

Park based in Batang Duri Temburong was

recently renovated with additional rooms

and facilities designed to support the

increasing visitor operations in Temburong,

ACSN Cambodia – SEA Tours Co., Ltd.

Cambodia’s tourism players are celebrating

after a snap decision on Sunday (November

14) saw the nation become the first in

South-east Asia to fully open to vaccinated

travellers with no restrictions.

“Christmas has come early for the tourism

and hospitality industry in Cambodia,” said

Nick Ray, consultant for CamDMC, on the

news that the country has fully opened to

fully inoculated tourists.

Inbound travellers must present a negative

PCR test result taken 72 hours before

departure and undergo a free rapid test on

arrival. Once given the all-clear – an

estimated 10- to 15-minute wait – arrivals

are free to enter the country with no

quarantine or restrictions on movement.

The requirement for health insurance has

also been scrapped. While the visa-onarrival

service remains suspended, tourist

e-visas can be applied online in advance of

travel. The move also means Cambodia is

the only South-east Asian country to fully

reopen with

very few restrictions, presenting an

opportunity the industry is hoping to seize.

The announcement supersedes previous

plans to stagger Cambodia’s reopening.

This was slated to start on November 30,

with vaccinated arrivals spending five days

at the coastal resort of Sihanoukville, Koh

Rong island or the Dara Sakor area of Koh

Kong.

International Travel Service (China & Hong

Kong)

China is carrying out a widespread

vaccination program with vaccination rate

reaching 70% last October. In China

including Hong Kong all public places

including resorts, restaurants, tourist

attraction, museum, theme parks,

waterparks, gyms, indoor sports and

worship places are open with strict

requirements of protocol implementation.

Mask is a mandatory when entering indoor

public facilities and public transportation,

body temperature checked, and touch-less

facilities also provided for safety. People

are delighted to see schools, work and

domestic tourism getting back to normal.

Most Chinese embassies have now

announced new entry requirements to be

phased in from 5-7th November (check

your country’s Chinese embassy website

for full information) These entry

requirements will now require passengers

to have complete a COVID test within 48

hours of departure.

This means that flight transfers are now

highly inadvisable. Further to this, the PCR

and IGM Antibody tests will both be

required to board a flight to China. To

enter Hong Kong, one must have a Hong

Kong ID and a COVID test within 72 hours

of arrival.

No tourists are currently allowed to enter

China due to the travel ban, however we

are constantly monitoring the situation and

will update you as soon as this lifted.








ACSN India – Micato Tours & Travels

Private Limited

India has now administered 1.2 billion

doses of the Covid vaccine! 90% of the

eligible population (above 18) has had at

least 1 dose; 40% has had both.

India has opened its borders for tourists to

arrive by air from November 15th. This has

been categorized into two groups of

countries, based on countries that are at a

higher risk. Certain restrictions apply for

passengers arriving from high-risk

countries.

Scheduled international flights still stand

suspended however India is operating

international flights with air bubble

countries with many countries.

A negative RT-PCR test is required 72 hours

prior to boarding of the international flight

and also a mandatory RT-PCR test on

arrival.

All major sites are open for tourism

purposes across the country, restaurants,

bars and shopping malls are open as well.

ACSN Indonesia – Bali Triloka Candra

Tours & Travel

Indonesia is carrying out a widespread

vaccination program in the hopes of fully

reopening islands like Bali by the end of

2021. Bali has one of the highest

vaccination rates in Indonesia with more

than 82% fully vaccinated according to

health data. Domestic traveller and all

events have started again since October

2021.

Bali has begun welcoming some vaccinated

international tourists from October 2021,

from 19 countries can enter Bali. These

countries are New Zealand, Saudi Arabia,

UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, China, India,

Japan, South Korea, Liechtenstein, Italy,

France, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Poland,

Hungary and Norway.

They will also need to quarantine for 3 days

in a hotel at their own expense. Foreign

travellers are now able to apply for the

B211 Visit Visa for the purpose of tourism

for stays of over 30 days. You can find

more information about visas on the

official government website. Many

international airlines are yet to reinstate

their direct-to-Bali routes, yet this is likely

to change as tourism increases.

ACSN Japan – JTB Global Marketing &

Travel, Inc.

Domestic tourism has increased with more

people seen outdoors especially in

commercial areas and tourist spots. This of

course is seen as a positive sign for the

travel industry.

As for international cruising, a protocol is

still yet to be issued by the Japanese

government there it is still difficult to

foresee the timing of resumption of

operations, but port authorities are

optimistic towards receiving cruise ships.








ACSN Korea – Aju Incentive Tours

South Korea recently has started to open

all public places including resorts,

restaurants, tourist attraction, museum,

theme parks, waterparks, gyms, indoor

sports and worship places with strict

requirements of protocol implementation.

However, max. 10 people can be gathering

is acceptable at the restaurants and cafes

and etc. For gyms and indoor sports,

karaoke places and, etc. open only for fully

vaccinated people. Mask is a mandatory

(indoor & outdoor), Body temperature

checked, hand-sanitizer and touch-less

facilities also provided for safety.

The government temporarily suspended all

short-term visas (stays up to 90 days),

single and multiple, issued to foreign

nationals. In addition, visa waiver and visafree

entry programs are restricted, on

reciprocal basis, for countries which have

imposed entry bans on Korean nationals.

All foreign nationals are required to obtain

a new visa.

Moreover, foreign nationals are tested at

airport (testing may take up to 2 days) and

facility quarantine for 14days (install the

Self-Diagnosis App) is mandatory, except

Singapore passport holders from 8

November. With the travel bubble

between Singapore and Korea, a person

who is fully vaccinated in Singapore with

WHO Emergency Use Listing COVID-19

vaccines for at least 2 weeks before arrival

in Korea is quarantine exemption.

The travellers must take a direct flight

operated by Korean Air, Asiana Airlines,

Singapore Airlines or Scoot from Singapore

to Korea.

Tourists are currently allowed to enter

South Korea but due to strengthen the

entry regulation and quarantine, no actual

tourists are coming to Korea. We are

constantly monitoring the situation and will

~REOPENING OF THE INTERNATIONAL

TOURISM SECTOR – TRAVEL BUBBLE

LANGKAWI ISLAND~

Please find some information with regard

to the above:

a. All entry into Langkawi Island is to be

via air only

b. Minimum stay is three days

c. Travellers are to be in Langkawi Island

only for a minimum of 7 days if they wish

to travel to other domestic destination in

Malaysia

d. On the 8th day, Travellers are allowed

to travel domestically via air or sea with the

following conditions:

I. RT – PCR covid-19 test is negative on

day 8 or 72 hours before leaving Langkawi

Island.

II. Travel to areas declared under

enhanced movement control order (MCO)

is prohibited.

III. Travellers are to be fully

vaccinated, minimum 14 days after the

second vaccination dose or 28 days after

one dose depending on the type of vaccine.

It is compulsory to book a travel package

for a minimum of three to seven days from

a company registered and license under

the Ministry of Tourism and Culture

(MOTAC).

As Maldives recovers from the COVID-19

situation, tourist arrivals to the Maldives

has bounced back.

A colourful celebration was held at Velana

International Airport October 29, 2021,

Friday, to welcome the 1 millionth Tourist

to the Maldives of the year 2021.

The year 2022 will mark the 50th

anniversary for Maldives tourism industry.

Myanmar Authorities effort comes as

CoVID-19 infections decelerate in the

nation of 55 million which has prompted

the lifting of a ban on inter-provincial

travel.

At present, 35% of the population got

vaccination up to the first week of

November 2021, the Ministry of Hotels &

Tourism is preparing for necessary HSP

(Health & Safety Protocol) arrangements

for inbound tourism reopening in early

2022.

One target is to draw in tourists from

Thailand so that Thai can safely visit

popular tourist destinations in and around

Kawthaung, Myeik, Dawei known as

Mergui Archipelago in southern Myanmar

as well as Tachileik and Kyaington at

eastern Myanmar / Thailand border.

About 300,000 foreigners are expected in

the first phase of the reopening in 2022

and will initially target visitors from

Southeast Asia, according to the Ministry of

Hotels and Tourism.

The Philippines Government announced,

The National Capital Region (Metro Manila)

has shifted to a more relaxed alert level

status from Level 3 to Level 2 starting

November 05th until November 21st as

Covid-19 cases dropped from a high of

2,000 average daily cases last month to an

average of just 493 cases per day. This will

allow business establishments to operate

up to half of their indoor capacity and 70%

outdoors. All restrictions on the movement

of young people aged below 18 and Senior

Citizens aged 65 above were lifted. No

more lockdown and curfew lifted. All

indoor and outdoor tourist spots are now

open. Some tourist destinations like Cebu

and Bohol are already accepting Filipino

Tourists who are fully vaccinated - no RT-

PCR test needed. But Foreign Tourists are

not yet allowed in the Philippines - borders

closed.

• Singapore is piloting the resumption of

business events as well as sports and live

performances with vaccination and testing.

This began with the Milken Institute Asia

Summit and Bloomberg New Economy

Forum November 16-18, 2021

• The local authorities are also working

toward a phased resumption of

international events, such as the Formula

One night racing event that drew droves of

international visitors before the pandemic.

• Authorities have also implemented

access control and checking systems at

food courts to differentiate between

patrons who are fully vaccinated and those

who are not.

• Currently, Singapore has VTL travel with

Australia, Brunei, Canada, Denmark,

France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands,

Republic of Korea, Spain, Switzerland,

United Kingdom, and the United States as

well as India and Indonesia

• Sailcation (Cruise to nowhere) are

permitted for approved VTL guests.








ACSN Sri Lanka – Micato Tours & Travels

Sri Lanka Tourism has also worked closely

with the government and international

experts to implement new standards and

international best practices. Measure

applicable for the International Tourists

visiting Sri Lanka under tourist visa have

been simplified and lifted to the maximum

possible at present under which, no prior

approval required from the Ministry of

Foreign Affairs or Civil Aviation Authority.

There is no minimum duration of stay in Sri

Lanka. Travellers who have completed 14

days after the recommended doses of

COVID-19 vaccination and arriving with a

negative COVID-19 PCR test report obtainned

within 72 hours of embarkation will be

considered as fully vaccinated travellers.

Any vaccination type accepted by the

country of origin will be accepted. Children

of 12-18 years, if depart two weeks after

obtaining at least a single dose of Pfizer

Vaccine, will be considered as Fully Vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated travellers are allowed

to make their own arrangem-ents for

accommodation, airport transfers and local

transportation. However, advised to use

safe and secure certified accommo-dations

and travel agents to ensure their health

and safety. (If fully vaccinated travellers are

using “Safe & Secure Certified” L1 hotels /

travel agents, airport transfers to be

arranged by either the respective “Safe &

Secure Certified” L1 hotel or travel agent).

Even Not Vaccinated’ travellers can still

have a great time under the protection of

the Tourism Bio Bubble in Sri Lanka. All

major sites are open for tourism purposes

across the country, restaurants, bars and

shopping malls are open as well.

Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH)

2021 Award for Best Resilient Physical

Infrastructure in World Ports Sustainability

Program Awards. The Port of Kaohsiung

has been named the honoured recipient of

the 2021 World Ports Sustainability Program

(WPSP) award for Resilient Physical

Infrastructure. This year, Port of Kaohsiung

represented Taiwan's inter-national

commercial port group in IAPH's WPSP

award program, submitting its Master Plan

for Future Development and Construction

(2017-2021) for consideration in the

"Resilient Physical Infrastructure" category.

During the first round of judging (70% of

the final score), the IAPH panel gave high

marks to Port of Kaohsiung's construction

and environmental planning in Phase-2 of

the Intercontinental Container Terminal

(ICT) project and to the port's development

of Kao Port Park and construction of the

Great Harbour Pedestrian Bridge. The

panel score secured Port of Kaohsiung's

position as a top-three finalist alongside

Australia's Port of Brisbane and the United

States' Port of San Diego. The second

round of judging (30% of the final score)

tallied the results of online public voting.

The votes submitted from around the

world in favour of its entry were sufficient

to push the Port of Kaohsiung ahead of its

rivals, securing IAP's declaration of Port of

Kaohsiung as the 2021 WPSP Resilient

Physical Infrastructure award category

Effective from 1 November, 2021, “Thailand

Reopening” is welcoming fully

vaccinated visitors from 63 countries and

territories via the Exemption from

Quarantine (TEST & GO) entry scheme, and

from around the world under the Living in

The “Blue Zone” (17 Sandbox Destinations)

programme.

These include all shopping venues,

convenience stores, markets, cinemas and

theatres, sports venues, hair salons and

barbershops, massage and spa shops,

beauty and aesthetic clinics, and tattoo

shops. Restaurants and eateries can also

resume normal opening hours, and be

allowed to serve dine-in customers alcoholic

beverages.

For Partially or unvac-cinated visitors from

any countries and territories are also much

welcomed via the Happy Quarantine

requirements. This year’s various entry

scheme is expected to bring at least

700,000 visitors to Thailand.

In term of Inbound Cruise Tourism, the

authorities are in the middle of reassessing,

discussing with various countries for a

special bubble itinerary and finalizing the

measures and protocols which will be

confirmed by January 2022.

ACSN Vietnam – Saigontourist Travel

The Central Government has approved a

pilot program to reopen international

tourism services in five major tourist

destinations from November 2021 with no

mandatory quarantine required for foreign

visitors.

Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang Province), Khanh

Hoa Province, Quang Nam Province, Quang

Ninh Province and Danang City have been

chosen to carry out this program to

welcome back incoming tourists. The

decision came after the Ministry of Culture,

Sports and Tourism proposed this plan to

the Central Government.

The program will be implemented in three

phases. In the first phase starting from

November 2021 till the end of December

2021, foreign visitors will visit Vietnam on

chartered flights or international

commercial flights to designated areas in

the five provinces / cities mentioned

above. During the second phase starting

from January 2022 onwards, the pilot

program will be open for more tourist

destinations and more international

tourists from many markets to join.

These tourists can travel to other tourist

destinations among the five localities (Phu

Quoc, Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Da Nang,

Quang Ninh) after completing their sevenday

tour in the first destination. The third

phase will fully reopen to international

tourists, depending on the Covid-19

situation and the results of the pilot

program implementation in the first and

second phases.

Wellness tourism, a combination of travel,

relaxation and healthcare, has emerged as

a major trend around the world. In the

context of the Covid-19 pandemic, climate

change, environmental pollution, and

diseases, people pay more attention take

care of their health and relieve stress.

Wellness travellers seek tourism services

which can help them relax, relieve stress,

and improve holistic health.

Vietnam has favourable climate and terrain

conditions for wellness tourism such as

peaceful landscapes, sunny beaches, wild

islands, mineral hot springs, pagodas and

monasteries etc, along with well-known

practice of traditional medicine and special

cuisines. More wellness services and tours

have been invested recently in order to

develop strongly the type of tourism.
