Prevention of OI<br />
• Prevention of OI among PLHA shall become a part of<br />
comprehensive care that is offered to them.<br />
• Revocation of OI prevention is acceptable in cases when on the<br />
background of ART during 3-6 months the number of CD4<br />
lymphocytes grows to a certain level (e.g., for PCP >200 c/ml,<br />
for toxoplasmosis >100 c/mcl, for MAV caused infection >50<br />
c/ml).<br />
• Revocation of secondary prevention is acceptable in the same<br />
conditions, however careful follow-up is required.<br />
• In case the number of CD4 cell falls down again below the<br />
indicated levels the prevention is resumed.
