The Settlement Operations in Chambaand Kangra Districts have already been completed in the year 1958 and 1995 respectively.The Settlement operations in district Una, Hamirpur, Kullu & Mandi are still under way.DISTRICT UNA:-In the District, the Settlement operation was started in the year 1980-81 and 870 revenueestates were taken for Settlement operation out of which the revenue records of 852 estates havebeen completed and consigned. The Settlement operations in remaining 18 revenue estates are inprogress and the record of 1 revenue estate has not been taken for settlement operation so far.Now, the settlement work in this revenue estate will be taken up with the help of modern surveyequipments.2. DISTRICT HAMIRPURIn the district, the Settlement operation of urban area of Hamirpur town was started in theyear 1980-81 and the rural areas were taken up for Settlement work in the year 1990-91. Theoperation in Hamirpur town was completed in the year 1984-85. The Settlement Operations inTehsil Nadaun, Barsar, Hamirpur and Sub Tehsil Bijjar are in progress. These tehsils consist of1278 revenue estates out of which 1141 revenue estates have been taken up for Settlementoperations. The settlement operations in 1078 revenue estates stand completed and the record ofright of these revenue estates has been consigned. Presently, the Settlement operations are inprogress in 57 revenue estates. The remaining 137 revenue estates of tehsil Hamirpur are to betaken up for settlement work with the help of modern survey equipments i.e. ETS & GPS Apartfrom this, 15 mohals of tehsil Sunjanpur have been taken up for settlement operation underN.L.R.M.P. with the help of modern survey equipments. After successful implementation ofN.L.R.M.P. in these mohals remaining 193 mohals of this tehsil & 279 mohals of Bhoranj tehsilwill also be taken up for Settlement operation with the help of modern survey equipments. TheSettlement work going on in tehsils of this district is likely to be completed by the year 2015-16.43
