Intelligentelectronics sense nightfall and automatically activate thelamp which, via a user settable timer, can operate either fora pre-set number of hours, or until dawn. An internal chargecontroller protects the battery against over charge and overdischarge.Sollatek’s ‘SL’ systems utilise high efficiency SOX-E lamps(yellow light). This type of lamp together with Sollatek’slight inverters ensure very long lamp lifetimes and reliableoperation even in the harshest of conditions.All materials used in the SL systems construction arecompletely protected against corrosion and are vandal andtheft resistant.Optional protective and security measures include anticlimbingcollars, polycarbonate shields above and beneaththe solar modules.Installation of the SL system is very simple and very flexible,with the battery located at the top of the pole.
