A Leading e-Learning School<br />
At The Koç School, the shared commitment to enhancing our<br />
students' learning is the key factor that will allow us to continue<br />
to be regarded as “a leading e-learning school”.<br />
With interactive whiteboard facilities throughout the school<br />
and one of the largest on-line educational learning<br />
environments in Turkey, The Koç School is firmly cementing<br />
its reputation as a leading e-learning school. Spearheading<br />
this development has been the school's “EduTec” project,<br />
staffed by David Cousens (EduTec Coordinator and Head<br />
of Computer Education) and Elif Kara Öztürk (Educational<br />
Technology Specialist and Computer Education Teacher).<br />
The project started in September 2009 with the backing of<br />
The Koç Foundation and The School's General Director,<br />
Mr. Bob Lennox.<br />

EduTec has two main objectives: To provide teachers and<br />
students with access to cutting-edge educational technology<br />
and to train teachers on how to use that technology to enhance<br />
student learning across the curriculum. One outcome of this<br />
is the development of the school's Virtual Learning<br />
Environment (Moodle), which is increasingly becoming an<br />
integrated and essential part of school life.<br />
