The aim of this study is to reveal the words by determining which had taken place in
Orhun Kitabeleri and have been existed untill today, and also to reveal the states of
these words during this period of time. This study consists of two sections.
1)The words without phonetic changes which had taken place in Orhun Kitabeleri:
These words didn’t have any change in aspects of phonetic since Orhun Kitabeleri.
Some of these words meanings had changes homever these changes are the figurative
meanings or the connotative meanings of the words.
2)The words with phonetic changes which had taken place in Orhun Kitabeleri:
These words had distinct phonetic changes, as it is most frequengtly encountered in
Turkish, on the other hand they mainly preserved their meanings and stil exists today.
Orhun Kitabeleri is one of the most studied subjects. The studies are stil being
continued about how the words should be read in the text. This study sets off the texts in
“Orhun Kitabeleri” by Muharrem Ergin .
First of all, for this study the dictionary of Turkish Language Institution printed in
2005 had a basis in fact to prove that the words, which had taken place in Orhun
Kitabeleri, are stil alive in use.
Comparison of the words is done in the dictionaries, which are important for Turkish
language, such as Roe Paté Dictionary,Collecting Dictionary, Accent Dictionaries,
Accent Research Books Dictionaries.
