The forum addressed 5 working
papers presented by H.E Dr. Eng.
Rashid Al Leem about the General
Strategy of Sharjah Electricity &
water Authority, its SEWA Future
Development Plan covering the
various activities and operation
of SEWA, simplification of
procedures, introduction of smart
one-stop services and application to
achieve the customers’ satisfaction
and enhance SEWA competitive
capabilities.
Eng. May Al Leem, the Manager of the
Projects Development Department
briefed the forum about the vital
projects and expansions initiated by
SEWA to provide the residents of the
Emirate of Sharjah with high quality
services. Eng. May Al leem praised
the role of SEWA’s local and global
partners in the achievements that it
has made. “Thanks to such strategic
partnerships, SEWA has managed
to execute large projects in a record
of time. As instance SEWA today
completes the 33 KV distribution
project within a time scale of about
one and half month only instead of 2
years” said Eng. May.
On other hand, Mrs. Buthayna Al
Mana’ai, the Marketing Manager
at SEWA presented a work paper
on SEWA Marketing Plan and
2020 Vision. She pointed out the
ambitious Road Map prepared by
SEW for a brighter future covers
several initiatives recently launched
by SEWA on spreading the public
awareness about the rational and
ideal use of the energy. As the
result of such initiatives, SEWA
has been awarded the ISO 50001 on
maintenance of the energy resources.
On her part, the paper presented by
Mrs. Kanizul Fatima Syed Ghulam,
from the Research & Progress
Office covers the 15 Principles
adopted by SEWA to be adhered
to by SEWA employees as work
approach to provide better services
to the Customer. Mrs. Amna Humaid
Al Zari, the Head of HR Planning
Section displayed the endeavors
made by SEWA for development of
human resources, restructuring the
various aspects of SEWA activities,
launching the ambitious initiatives
to stimulate the staff and attract
qualified persons employment
with SEWA. Mr. Syed Touseef-ur-
Rahman, the technical Advisor at the
IT Department highlighted the smart
programs and software used by
SEWA which ensures precision and
speed in the completion of various
transactions
