The forum addressed 5 working<br />

papers presented by H.E Dr. Eng.<br />

Rashid Al Leem about the General<br />

Strategy of Sharjah Electricity &<br />

water Authority, its SEWA Future<br />

Development Plan covering the<br />

various activities and operation<br />

of SEWA, simplification of<br />

procedures, introduction of smart<br />

one-stop services and application to<br />

achieve the customers’ satisfaction<br />

and enhance SEWA competitive<br />

capabilities.<br />

Eng. May Al Leem, the Manager of the<br />

Projects Development Department<br />

briefed the forum about the vital<br />

projects and expansions initiated by<br />

SEWA to provide the residents of the<br />

Emirate of Sharjah with high quality<br />

services. Eng. May Al leem praised<br />

the role of SEWA’s local and global<br />

partners in the achievements that it<br />

has made. “Thanks to such strategic<br />

partnerships, SEWA has managed<br />

to execute large projects in a record<br />

of time. As instance SEWA today<br />

completes the 33 KV distribution<br />

project within a time scale of about<br />

one and half month only instead of 2<br />

years” said Eng. May.<br />

On other hand, Mrs. Buthayna Al<br />

Mana’ai, the Marketing Manager<br />

at SEWA presented a work paper<br />

on SEWA Marketing Plan and<br />

2020 Vision. She pointed out the<br />

ambitious Road Map prepared by<br />

SEW for a brighter future covers<br />

several initiatives recently launched<br />

by SEWA on spreading the public<br />

awareness about the rational and<br />

ideal use of the energy. As the<br />

result of such initiatives, SEWA<br />

has been awarded the ISO 50001 on<br />

maintenance of the energy resources.<br />

On her part, the paper presented by<br />

Mrs. Kanizul Fatima Syed Ghulam,<br />

from the Research & Progress<br />

Office covers the 15 Principles<br />

adopted by SEWA to be adhered<br />

to by SEWA employees as work<br />

approach to provide better services<br />

to the Customer. Mrs. Amna Humaid<br />

Al Zari, the Head of HR Planning<br />

Section displayed the endeavors<br />

made by SEWA for development of<br />

human resources, restructuring the<br />

various aspects of SEWA activities,<br />

launching the ambitious initiatives<br />

to stimulate the staff and attract<br />

qualified persons employment<br />

with SEWA. Mr. Syed Touseef-ur-<br />

Rahman, the technical Advisor at the<br />

IT Department highlighted the smart<br />

programs and software used by<br />

SEWA which ensures precision and<br />

speed in the completion of various<br />

transactions<br />
