Between 2010 and 2015 the Production sector recorded 5 consecutive years of employment growth. Despite this, employment in the Production sector remains 0.6% below the level recorded in 2008, at the start of the financial downturn. £million Manufacturing Manufacturing is the largest component industry in the Production sector and accounts for 78.9% of Production aGVA. In addition, Manufacturing accounts for 22.1% of total aGVA in the Non-financial business economy and is the second largest industrial section. aGVA in the Manufacturing section showed marginal growth of 0.9% between 2014 and 2015. Employment in the Manufacturing section showed continued growth of 3.9% between 2014 and 2015.
