Employment<br />
Employment in the NI Non-financial business economy increased for the fourth consecutive<br />
year, growing by 2.3% in <strong>2015</strong>. Employment in <strong>2015</strong> was 2.0% below the figure recorded in<br />
2008; however following job growth between 2011 and <strong>2015</strong> it was 7.6% above the figure<br />
recorded in 2011.<br />
The Non-financial services sector accounts for approximately 50% of employment in the NI<br />
Non-financial business economy, increasing its share by roughly 3% since 2008.<br />
Employment in the construction sector, although exhibiting small growth between 2013 and<br />
<strong>2015</strong>, has declined as a proportion of total employment, falling from 10% in 2008 to 7% in<br />
<strong>2015</strong>.<br />
