On January 30 Bujica hosted Ante Prkačin, a general of HOS (Croatian wartime militia). During the entire show a HOS flag with the inscription “For the Homeland Ready” stood between the guest and the anchor. “Gentlemen from Ostojić’s 16 police, come here within an hour so I can see whether you will be able to remove this little flag from my studio”, Bujanec said during the broadcast in which he and Prkačin continued to rehabilitate this Ustasha salute. Dnevno.hr, which constantly publishes content directed against the Serb community in Croatia and its prominent members, has the fastest growing audience and a leading role among such portals. This portal published on September 11 the text “Pupovac is more poisonous than the death cap (an untranslatable pun on Pupovac’s family name in Croatian), the most poisonous mushroom in the Croatian soil!” This portal frequently resorts to revisionism and glorification of the Ustasha: on top of publishing a text by Tvrtko Tolić on June 19 under the title “It is about time we revived the Ustasha movement”, Dnevno.hr on several occasions referred to a commemoration the SNV organises in Jadovno, a former Ustasha concentration camp, as “an anti-fascist-Chetnik-communist feast”. Texts published by this portal were on several occasions in 2015 on the agenda of the Council for Electronic Media (VEM), which had earlier issued a warning related to its articles. Hate Speech and Violence Against Serbs in 2015 / 81 published column by Ivan Blažičko (sports commentator) in which he pored over ethnic affiliation of the government members and leading public servants. “It is a fact that in the Croatian government today there are 10 Serbs, while five Serbs host the election program on the Croatian (state) television...” Journalist Marko Jurič, who is the editor and anchor of an obscure show named Markov trg on the local Z1 television, wrote on Facebook that “Milorad Pupovac should be the first Serb whom the Croatian Government will expel from Croatia...” Portals with a much smaller reading audience which resort to the most primitive forms of hate speech almost daily include Portal.braniteljski-forum.com, Hrsvijet.net, Maxportal. hr, Portaloko.hr, Sloboda.hr, Dragovoljac.com, Croative.net, Hrvatski-fokus.hr, Tjedno.hr, Hazud.hr, Hop.hr and Gradjanskaakcija-offcial.com which has in its heading the Ustasha salute “For the Homeland Ready”. / Dnevno.hr on June 19 published a text by Tvrtko Tolić under the title “It is about time we revived the Ustasha movement”
