First School Staff recently had training on how to use Numicon for Maths development. It is a

fantastic resources all the way from the UK. Much research has been completed related to

the benefits of this resource leading to higher mathematical understanding. The children

have begun to experiment with the tiles and soon they will link them to numbers.

Year 1 and the Weather

Year 1 have been looking at weather patterns in Thailand and comparing weather to the UK.

Today we made our own weather report video's!

School Fayre

Next Saturday, March 18th, we are holding our annual School Fayre. This year the theme is

80s! The fayre will run from 10am to 2pm and will be a fun filled family event. There is a

raffle and there will be performances on the stage from students, teachers….and some

brave parents! Please join us and invite your friends and family.

Year 1 and the Gruffalo Crumble Following on from Book Week Year 1 made Gruffalo crumble in one of their literacy lessons. They had to read the correct ingredients and measurements to make their Gruffalo crumble. Ready to build? Lego ECA is coming in Term 3 The years 3-6 took part in a free LEGO activity run by Smart Fun LEGO Club. This will be offered as an ECA in term three. Numicon in First School
