pravo je zadovoljstvo pisati uvodnik za ovaj broj "Olimpa“ koji je u cijelosti posvećen<br />
športašicama, športskim dužnosnicama, trenericama, djelatnicama, volonterkama,<br />
promicateljicama športskih vrijednosti i drugim ženama koje svakodnevno<br />
brižno rade na dobrobit hrvatskog športa.<br />
Iako su Hrvatska, pa i Hrvatski olimpijski odbor, još<br />
daleko od idealnog odnosa zastupljenosti žena u rukovodećim<br />
športskim strukturama, ali i svim drugim<br />
djelatnostima, malo se zemalja u svijetu danas može<br />
pohvaliti da ima ženu za predsjednicu države i da je<br />
žena izabrana na mjesto prve državne tajnice Središnjeg<br />
državnog ureda za šport.<br />
HOO je posebno ponosan na činjenicu što u ovom<br />
sazivu Vijeća ima dvije dopredsjednice, a od samog<br />
osnutka HOO-a žene su imale značajne uloge i to ne<br />
samo kao članice Vijeće nego i na operativnim dužnostima.<br />
Tako je dr. Sandra Dubravčić Šimunjak bila prva<br />
čelnica Misije HOO na Olimpijskim igrama 1992. u Glavni tajnik Hrvatskog<br />
Albertvilleu, a tu dužnost obnašala je i na ZOI 1994. u<br />
olimpijskog odbora<br />
Lillehammeru.<br />

Svim našim članicama preporučujem da u svoja Croatian Olympic Committee<br />
najviša športska tijela (skupštine) izaberu što veći broj<br />
žena, jer to je preduvjet da više žena bude izabrano i u<br />
Josip Čop, dipl. oec.<br />
upravljačka tijela tog saveza. Isto, naravno, vrijedi i za<br />
klubove...<br />
Sa zadovoljstvom ističem da u „Olimpu“ već godinama<br />
postoji rubrika "Žene u športu", a hrvatske športašice su zbog svojih iznimnih<br />
dostignuća nebrojeno puta bile na našoj naslovnici - počevši od Janice Kostelić,<br />
Blanke Vlašić, Sanje Jovanović, Snježane Pejčić, Martine Zubčić, Sandre Šarić,<br />
sestara Zaninović, pa sve do Sandre Perković i Sare Kolak.<br />
Uvjeren sam da će se taj trend nastaviti, za što su najveća garancija naše sjajne<br />
športašice koje su i po svjetskim kriterijima na športskom Olimpu.<br />

it is a pleasure to write an editorial for this edition of "Olimp", which is entirely<br />
dedicated to female athletes, sports officials, coaches, employees, volunteers, promoters<br />
of sports values and other women carefully working, on daily basis, for the benefit of<br />
the Croatian sport.<br />
Although Croatia and the Croatian Olympic Committee are still far from the "ideal<br />
relationship" in terms of presence of women in leading sports structures, as well as in<br />
all the other industries, today only a few countries in the world can boast with female<br />
president and a woman being elected to the position of the first Secretary of the State<br />
Office for Sports.<br />
Croatian Olympic Committee is particularly proud of the fact that in the current<br />
composition of the Council there are two female Vice-Presidents. Furthermore, since<br />
the very founding of the Croatian Olympic Committee, women have had important<br />
roles, not only as members of the Council but also in carrying out the operational<br />
duties. Thus, Dr. Sandra Dubravčić Šimunjak was the first Head of the Croatian<br />
Olympic Committee’s Mission at the Olympic Games in Albertville in 1992, and she<br />
was carrying out that duty at the Winter Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 1994 as<br />
well.<br />
I recommend all our members to elect as many women as they can to their highest<br />
sports bodies (assemblies), because this is a prerequisite for more women to be elected<br />
to the governing bodies of that federation. The same, of course, refers to the clubs...<br />
It is my pleasure to highlight that "Olimp", for many years now, has a column<br />
"Women in Sports", and – due to their exceptional achievements – the Croatian female<br />
athletes were on our front page on numerous occasions - starting from Janica Kostelić,<br />
Blanka Vlašić, Sanja Jovanović, Snježana Pejčić, Martina Zubčić, Sandra Šarić,<br />
Zaninović sisters, up to Sandra Perković and Sara Kolak.<br />
I am sure that this trend will continue, for which the best guarantee are our great<br />
female athletes who are - by the international criteria as well – at the "sports Olympus".<br />
