Auction for Grid Losses successfully
performed on the 16th
of November
ELES Ltd. in cooperation with BSP Regional Energy
Exchange LL C conducted an auction for the purchase of
energy to cover losses on the transmission system in the
years 2017, 2018 and 2019. The subjects of the auction
were 11MW Base Load product for 2017, 10MW Base Load
product for 2018 and 10 MW Base Load product for 2019.
Response from ELES after the
conclusion of GLOS auction
How are you satisfied with members responsiveness to
GLOS auction 2016?
We are satisfied with responsiveness from members. Especially
due to a fact that new bidders turn up each year and they do not
fall behind the local bidders in terms of placing competitive
offers.
How would you comment the auction results?
The results are in line with expectations.
What would be your message to the current and future
GLOS auction members?
As a public company we are highly interested in creating a
competitive environment that will attract many bidders. Due to
the lack of transparent long-term price signal for Slovenian
market, we believe that high number of bidders is a key to
forming a competitive price. A step in this direction has been
made last year, as we started a cooperation with BSP. This
cooperation has enabled us the use of modern user-friendly
solutions (trading application). For the future we would be
interested in getting some feedback from members who
applied to auction, and especially from those who did not what
would have to be improved in the tendering procedures, which
are the obstacles that turned them away from applying to
auction etc...
