October 3 rd Lanakila kicked off our Annual Food
Drive. This is the 15 th year that Lanakila has collected
food for the River of Life Mission and Meals
on Wheels. Whether students can only give a little
or a lot, every bit helps. So far this year K-6 th students
have brought in 4,058.07 pounds of food.
We are just 810.37 pounds short of beating last
year’s record.
If you have not had an opportunity to donate or
would like to donate more, you still have time.
Donations are be accepted through November
20 th . All food will be delivered to the Mission on
Monday, November 21 st .
UNIFORM CHANGES
I am aware of the frustration you faced
with our uniform company this summer.
That company has decided to close their
business and fulfill final orders. The
company would like to deliver the final
orders to our school for parents convenience.
We have decided to go with a new uniform company
called Pueo Print. This company is aware of our
needs, especially during the peak season. They are
willing to have inventory available throughout the
year to provide uniforms to students who outgrow
them during the school year. What I appreciate
about this company is that they want to give back
to our school by giving us a percentage of Lanakila
Baptist Schools uniform sales during the year. They
are also willing to open “pop-up shops” at our
school for pre-ordering in May and during registration
week, to help our busy parents. Did I mention
that we get a portion of sales for “pop-up shops”?
So far, I am impressed. I pray this relationship will
be one to last and that my parents are satisfied.
With this new change, I will be looking forward to
seeing our students in the correct, proper fitting
uniforms by mid second quartet.

FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Dear LBES Ohana,
Time flies when you’re having fun! We
must be having so much fun because
this quarter flew by so fast. Thank you
to all the parents who sent in a dish
for our multicultural day luncheon,
the food was onolicious! Thank you
also, to the parents who came to set
up, serve, and clean up. You did a great job!
PRAISE! Our students did amazing presenting their missionaries
country of service, it was great to see what God is
doing on the mission field to bring the gospel of Jesus
Christ to people who desperately need him. By supporting
missions, you will be counted in helping bring lost people
into the family of God.
As we look back on the quarter and forward to the next, I
am proud of our students accomplishments, especially
those who are new to our school. I pray that we continue
to “Pursue Christ and Academic Excellence” as we honor
God in all we do.

FUNDRAISING

Just a reminder that half payment of $400 fundraising fee is
due! Please send that in as soon as possible.
This fee will allow our school to make needed capital
improvements to our campus in order to enhance the quality
of learning as well as sustain the growth of our students’
experience.
We would like to replace our playground padding this school
year and your monies will allows to see this project through.

Operation Christmas Child.
