Abstract<br />
In this paper, I will be discuss<strong>in</strong>g the overcrowd<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> jails <strong>and</strong> prisons. When discuss<strong>in</strong>g<br />
overcrowd<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> jails <strong>and</strong> prisons there are plenty of th<strong>in</strong>gs that can be brought to people<br />
attention. In this paper, I will be focus<strong>in</strong>g on how drugs <strong>and</strong> other non-violent crimes are a<br />
problem that adds to the overcrowd<strong>in</strong>g. The <strong>in</strong>formation that I will be <strong>in</strong>form<strong>in</strong>g you on <strong>in</strong> this<br />
paper will be backed up by reliable <strong>and</strong> credible resources. I will also go a little deeper when<br />
writ<strong>in</strong>g this paper because <strong>in</strong> my paper I'm also go<strong>in</strong>g to give you the <strong>in</strong>sight on how experts see<br />
the overcrowd<strong>in</strong>g as a problem. Also, ways to possibly solve the overcrowd<strong>in</strong>g issue <strong>in</strong> jails <strong>and</strong><br />
prisons will be discussed here.<br />
