profesie na živnosť, zavedenie povinného členstva autori–
zovaných architektov, plnoprávne členstvo komory v Archi–
tektonickej rade Európy a Slovenska v Európskej únii od roku
2004, uznávanie vzdelania a umožnenie voľného výkonu
slobodného povolania vo všetkých jej členských štátoch,
prudké oživenie výstavby a príprava stavebného zákona – to
boli míľniky, ktorými sme sa podrobnejšie zaoberali v minulej
ročenke pri príležitosti 15. výročia vzniku komory.
Dnes sa zdá, že komora má svoje oprávnenie ako samosprávny
reprezentant stavovskej obce, iniciatívny aj pri vytváraní
vhodného legislatívneho prostredia, starostlivosti o stavebnú
kultúru, osvete verejnosti i pri vzdelávaní svojich členov,
ako orgán preneseného výkonu štátnej správy pre evidenciu
architektov, dohľad nad výkonom povolania, spoluprácu pri
akreditácii študijných odborov aj ako kontaktné miesto pre
zahraničných architektov u nás. V najbližšom období nás
čakajú aj špecifické úlohy pri transpozícii novej smernice
Európskeho parlamentu o službách na vnútornom trhu,
týkajúcej sa výkonu profesie, vrátane vzájomného uznávania
vzdelania a praxe tak, aby sme našim členom a recipročne
hosťujúcim architektom poskytli kvalitný servis pre výkon
povolania na jednotnom európskom trhu. Chcem sa poďakovať
všetkým kolegom, ktorí aktívne pomáhajú zabezpečiť toto
široké spektrum úloh, dôležité nielen pre profesiu samotnú,
ale aj pre verejný záujem spoločnosti.
The initial years of Chamber’s existence were marked by
struggles for defending its existence, its position vis-à-vis public
agencies and its organisation, personnel and material foundations.
The threat of Chamber dissolution and the fact that
there were initiatives aimed at abolishing exercise of the vocation
as a small trade, introduction of compulsory membership
of chartered architects, Chamber’s valid membership in
The Architects’ Council of Europe Chamber (ACE) and Slovakia
membership in the European Union since 2004, acknowledgement
of education credentials and facilitation of unrestricted
exercise of this vocation on freelance basis in all EU member
states, abrupt revival of development and efforts to draft
a Building Act bill were all milestones we addressed in detail
in the previous volume issued on occasion of the Chamber’s
15th anniversary.
Today it seems that the Chamber has finally achieved its status
as a self-governing representative of the professional community,
taking reigns of the initiative in creating a suitable legislative
environment, taking care of building culture, education
of the general public and its members, and as the body
of transposed exercise of state administration of registering
architects, supervision of vocation exercise, assistance in accreditation
of study curricula and a point of contact for foreignbased
architects in Slovakia. Our future tasks contain specific
efforts in transposition of a new EU Directive of the European
Parliament on internal market services, governing exercise of
our vocation, including mutual acknowledgement of education
and practical experience so that we are able to provide to
our members and hosting architects with reciprocal and solid
services for performing their vocation in the single European
market. To my fellow architects, who assisted in performance
of this vast array of tasks, critical not only to the vocation but
also the interest of the general public, I would also like to express
my gratitude.

Na Valnom zhromaždení 15. mája 2009 v Spišskej Novej Vsi bolo zvolené pre IX. volebné obdobie nasledovné Predstavenstvo
Slovenskej komory architektov a členovia Autorizačnej a Disciplinárnej komisie.
