VarioFil – Plug and Profit
The concept of the Oerlikon Barmag VarioFil compact spinning line
has been designed for the greatest level of flexibility.
VarioFil is a stand-alone system for which all auxiliary units required
for operation are integrated within the system. Hence, VarioFil is the
ideal production tool for those yarn manufacturers who – in addition
to large orders – have to cope with a broad range of products in small
lots and be able to react quickly to a dynamic market.
With VarioFil, market changes do not automatically equate to investing
in a new machine, but simply purchasing a customized retooling
package. For this reason, you will always be able to utilize an optimal
VarioFil concept for the latest products – and all at minimal cost.
The entire facility and its key components meet the e-save
standard: With an energy consumption at least 0% lower
than that of common commercial equipment, VarioFil
proves a sound investment in the future.
Flexibility
The VarioFil modular system is structured
in such a way as to allow each
respective process-decisive component
to be positioned to always ensure
optimal machine configuration for the
desired product.
Hence, this system permits:
- The production of various yarn types
(POY, FDY, and FDY HT) through
to DTY in conjunction with a
Oerlikon Barmag texturing machine;
- The processing of different polymers,
such as PP, PET, PA, and similar;
- The production of bi-component and
microfilament yarns;
- Fast product and dye change;
- The simultaneous production of
different products;
- A broad overall and filament titer
range.
Quality
The – at all times – first-class yarn
quality is achieved with optimal
machine configuration and the utilization
of top-quality Oerlikon Barmag
components. Only Oerlikon Barmag
standard components are used for
the VarioFil compact spinning line,
which have proven themselves over
many years in conventional large-scale
systems and whose designs have been
uncompromisingly geared towards
each respective process.
Operating costs
In addition to the yarn quality, achieving
the lowest possible operating costs is
decisive for successful yarn production.
This fundamental principle was
the guideline in the conception of this
compact spinning line, for which the
following objectives were achieved:
- Simple 1-man operation;
- High production speeds with
large mechanical reserves
(up to 6,000 m/min);
- High production safety;
- Simple retooling possibilities;
- Lower maintenance costs;
- Energy management;
- Considerably lower energy costs;
- Waste management.
Downstream process
The downstream process can be
implemented using the entire range
of Oerlikon Barmag texturing and
air-texturing equipment. Whether MPS,
COCOON, AFK, FK6 or CATY – yarns
spun on VarioFil can be textured on
any system. The textured yarns are
twisted on appropriate Oerlikon Saurer
machines.
Extruder
The utilization of top-quality, low-wear
materials – in particular for the extruder
cylinders and the extruder screw –
ensure long-term, error-free operation.
The screw geometries with special
mixing components have been determined
to ensure short dwell times, in
order to keep the thermal and mechanical
load of the melt to a minimum.
This ensures excellent melt and hence
first-class yarn quality.
Spinning
VarioFil is equipped with SP70 series
spinning heads, which also permit
processing of critical materials. The
melt-guiding parts of the spinning head
can be cleaned with the utmost of ease.
The spinning head steam heating ensures
excellent temperature uniformity.
Spin Pack
The spin packs are characterized by
outstanding flow condition and excellent
temperature distribution, reflected
in the machine’s shortest possible dye
change times.
The proven “self-sealing” and “bottomloading”
principle has been retained
to ensure simple, fast and error-free
installation.
Spinning Pump
VarioFil is equipped with the proven
Oerlikon Barmag planetary gear pumps
for precise metering of each individual
thread.
These pumps achieve very high titer
uniformity from thread to thread.
Quenching Unit
The quenching system – extremely
easy to clean – supplies an even,
turbulence-free airflow for achieving
excellent uster values.
The airflow speed can be set using an
electric drive unit.
Godet
The induction-heated HF series godets
have also been taken from the proven
large-scale Oerlikon Barmag spinning
systems.
The electronics – especially developed
for this system by Oerlikon Barmag
– ensure the greatest degree of speed
accuracy over the entire speed range.
The high-frequency heaters permit
even temperature characteristics
across the entire working length for
optimal yarn heat treatment.
ACW Winder
With regards to winders, there are several
models available from the fully automatic
ACW series with low-wear and
yarn-protecting bi-rotor traverse system,
such as the layout for 6 threads with a
stroke (package width) of 170 mm each
or the layout for 3 threads with a stroke
(package width) of 250 mm.
Furthermore, ASW series take-up units
with grooved roller and camshaft are
used.
Control system
VarioFil is – as standard – equipped with
the Oerlikon Barmag computer control
system “Guide”, which excels in terms
of its particularly pleasant graphic interface.
Entry and display of all process
parameters is carried out on a central
unit. All parameters are continually
entered and displayed in the form of
trend diagrams.
Furthermore, a remote diagnosis
system with a direct connection to
the Oerlikon Barmag customer service
unit has been integrated into the spinning
line, and can be activated upon
request.
