all <strong>the</strong> aspects on <strong>Aromatic</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Medicinal</strong> <strong>Plants</strong> hosted by Central Institute <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Medicinal</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Aromatic</strong> <strong>Plants</strong> (CIMAP), Lucknow on <strong>the</strong> occasion <strong>of</strong> its Golden<br />
Jubilee Year.<br />
The symposium will provide a platform for researchers, scientists, students ,<br />
industry people <strong>and</strong> business houses to interact <strong>and</strong> discuss <strong>the</strong> major issues<br />
related to <strong>Aromatic</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Medicinal</strong> plants right from Agronomy, Genetics, Botany,<br />
Chemistry, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Manufacturing processes <strong>and</strong><br />
Marketing.<br />
The Symposium has been placed during <strong>the</strong> best dates (Dec 1-3, 2009) <strong>and</strong><br />
wea<strong>the</strong>r (pleasant 20 -22 oC) <strong>of</strong> Lucknow. CIMAP has been devoted on research on<br />

About Lucknow<br />
The city <strong>of</strong> Nawabs (regional aristrocrats), as Lucknow is <strong>of</strong>ten called, is today <strong>the</strong> capital <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
largest state <strong>of</strong> India, Uttar Pradesh. The city has a glorious history <strong>and</strong> has been hailed as one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />
centers <strong>of</strong> culture in Nor<strong>the</strong>rn India. Even today, it is among <strong>the</strong> major highlights <strong>of</strong> Uttar Pradesh<br />
tourism, <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> numerous tourist attractions in Lucknow indicate <strong>the</strong> high levels achieved by <strong>the</strong><br />

Srinagar, 1394 km; Khajuraho 400 km ; Varanasi, 319 km, Ayodhya 140 km.<br />
