However, finding ways to control them is vital for your scorecard and state of mind. Step back and study what lies ahead before teeing the ball up. Then introduce a few movements before you hit the ball (right) to help you ease in to the shot and find more fairways. Use your shape I naturally draw the ball and want to miss the fairway bunker shown here, so have teed up on the left to give myself plenty of margin.
