News CornerDST Grant for Dr Amalendu Patnaik<strong>NIST</strong> Faculty andCoordinator(R& D),Dr AmalenduPatnaik has receiveda project grant fromDepartment ofScience andTechnology (DST),Govt. of India of Rs.6,55,200/- for doing research on the Projecttitled Development of antenna array failureanalysis and compensation techniques. Theproject has been approved for a total durationof 3 years. This is an another Govt. grant thathas been sanctioned for <strong>NIST</strong> faculty.Infosys campus connect program<strong>NIST</strong> faculty Mr. Siddhartha BhushanNeelamani and Mr. Indraneel Mukhpadhyayattended the campus connect program ofInfosys Bhubaneswar on August 24-26,<strong>2005</strong>. They got training on TTT (Train theTrainers) program on dotNET programming.<strong>NIST</strong> has started Infosys Campus Connectprogram for all the 2002 batch studentsselected by Infosys from <strong>Sept</strong>ember 1, <strong>2005</strong>.CCNA fast track Training Program<strong>NIST</strong> is running CISCO Certified NetworkAssociate (CCNA) Training course for 7 thSemester B.E students. This program isspecially designed for those students whowant to make their career inTelecommunication, Protocol, Wireless,Firewall and Networking domain. Thiscourse has got equal importance for bothsoftware and hardware engineers. Thecurrent strength of students for this programis 27. Hope this course will create arevolution for <strong>NIST</strong>ians to pursue a career incommunication technologies.
