We will examine thechallenges facing academic medicine to put theseprinciples into practice.9:00 am - 12:00 pm Optional Art Deco Tour for Spouses/Guests (AdditionalFee Required)South Beach has the largest Art Deco district in Americawith buildings being restored every day. Once in the ArtDeco district, a certified guide will lead tour guests on aninteresting and informative 90-minute walking tour. Inaddition to a stroll past the late Gianni Versace's villa onOcean Drive, guests will observe the outside designelements of various hotels and even walk into some of thehotel lobbies and secluded courtyards. The tour offers aunique opportunity to explore Deco-age arts andarchitecture, examine historic preservation efforts andexperience the excitement of this trendy area.
