across the organization.
The program is providing the tools and
processes to enable and sustain high
performance.

My company is Mettler-Toledo. We are
a manufacturer of precision balances,
precision analytic instruments in
general.
Business challenge
We came out of a management buy-out
in the late 90s and since then we have
expounded our margin significantly
and doubled our revenue within like ten
years.
So we were facing with the challenge
so what’s the next step? How do we
improve shareholder value even more?
History of our company was very
fragmented, decentralized, a very local
and we found that the only way to
be even better in our operations is to
harmonize the processes, harmonize the
IT landscape.

How Accenture helped
So the program as such is unique in
terms of size. But what we are doing
here is we’re putting in everything from
SAP, so the CRM in sales and service,
as well as ECC so the scope is huge.
We try to have everything integrated,
one solution, and Accenture, of course
helped us in the beginning to size
the project. They tried to keep it in a
scope that is digestible for us which
was difficult at times. They, of course,
helped us then develop our template
with their expertise in SAP and in the
solutions. And now in the deployment
phase they’re helping us driving the
methodology, the project methodology.

So I think it’s the overall trust that
we built over time …having a strong
partner … the good relationship on a
daily basis! So I think it’s the whole set
up that makes us very successful in the
partnership.

We need this kind of a project to have
a better foundation to accelerate the
new technologies, to better serve our
customers, to have a faster product
lifecycle, etc., That’s what we’re trying
to achieve with this project and not to
become, but to stay a high performance
company.
