with the addition of 4,600 m² new production facilities and 121 new employees.

VTX-240 now supports 220 kg
in the cage.

Waco, Texas based TIME
Manufacturing Company
(TMC) is expanding its
production capacity with
4,600 square metres of
additional production
facilities. TMC plans on
spending $5.8 million to
expand its facilities in Waco
expected to result in a
growth of employment of
121 during the coming four
years.
The city of Waco and the
McLennan County officials
recently voted ok to provide
TMC with tax abatements
and $200,000 in economic
development initiatives
to support the expansion.
TMC currently employs
410 in Waco and produces
3,500-4,000 aerial access
platforms a year in the
existing 27,800 square metre
factory complex of which 25-
35% is for exports to global
markets.
HDW acquires TIME Benelux
Following the acquisition, HDW BeLux is now the new
Versalift distributor in Belgium and Luxembourg.

Rotterdam based HDW has
acquired TIME Benelux and
is now the exclusive Versalift
distributor in Belgium and
Luxembourg. The company
has been renamed HDW
BeLux and all employees
from TIME Benelux remain
in the new organization in
Tienen, Belgium.
“This acquisition is part of
our drive to further improve
our sales and service
activities in Belgium and
Luxembourg. It will provide
HDW with a perfect home
base to serve the Benelux
market in a professional

International access rental
group RIWAL has taken
delivery of 5 Versalift VTX-240
from TIME Danmark as part
of a fleet renewal program
replacing units with a single
telescopic boom.
Up and over
The Versalift VTX-240
features two, 3-stage
telescopic booms and
advanced electrohydraulic
controls with automatic
setup, including outrigger
levelling, and packing. It
is capable of parking right
next to buildings and reach
worksites on flat rooftops.
“We have wanted a machine
with this unique boom
design for some time and
are confident, the VTX-240
is the right product for us”,
says Jesper B. Nielsen, Sales
Consultant at RIWAL.

available as a toy model from SIKU.

140-F on a Mercedes-Benz
Sprinter van.
The model is very detailed
as all the major boom parts
can be operated including
the main boom, the inner
boom and the flyboom.
Available in toy stores
and from online
retailers, the
retail selling
price of the
unit is slightly
less than its 1:1
cousin at
€ 21.95.

LAT wins ‘Product of the Year’ IAPA
The LAT-38-H won the IAPA for vehicle mounted ‘Product of the Year’ at this year’s ceremony in Madrid,
Spain in March.

The Versalift LAT-38-H won
the International Award for
Powered Access (IAPA) in the
vehicle mounted ‘Product of
the Year’ category.
The award was accepted
by TIME International Vice
President Kim Bach Jensen
and Technical Manager
Frands Kristensen at the
dinner and ceremony
hosted in Madrid, Spain on
March 17.
Product of the year
The LAT-38-H is now the
vehicle mounted product of
the year edging out fellow
shortlists; the 091E from
France Elèvateur and the
B200PX from GSR.
on particularly the British
markets.
The LAT-38-H is a pickup
mounted, full hydraulic
articulating telescopic unit
with two sets of outriggers.
It features 13.3 metres of
working height and supports
a cage capacity of 230 kg.
Other winners
Several other IAPA’s were
awarded in Madrid including
the Lifetime Achievement
Award for Art Moore, the 91
year old founder of Snorkel,
while Nationwide Platforms
in the UK were named rental
company of the year.

has opened up a new
location in Hedehusene
on Sealand and closed
the previous location in
Skovlunde. The new location,
TIME Danmark East, is the
new base for all sales and
service in Eastern Denmark.

located in Hedehusene and
very accessible from all of
Sealand, as it is located right
by the freeway exit.

The van mounted Versalift

van.

Updated VTX-240 ready for Euro 6
The Versalift VTX-240 has been slimmed down for Euro 6 and the cage capacity upgraded to 220 kg.
PRODUCT NEWS
The Versalift VTX-240,
originally unveiled at Bauma
2013, is now available for
the Euro 6 Mercedes-Benz
Sprinter chassis.
The unit has been
trimmed down to support
the heavier chassis with
several redesigns to the unit
and its various mounting
components.
Upgraded cage capacity
The biggest change is the
upgrade in cage capacity to
220 kg up from 200 kg. With
the capacity upgrade, the
unit is truly available for two
operators.
Better cage rotation
The redesigned cage rotator
features one less joint for a
smoother cage rotation.
Unchanged diagramme
The working diagramme is
unchanged and the max
outreach is still 12.5 m at 80 kg.
Still a 3.5 t unit
The Versalift VTX-240 is still
available for operators with
a class B driver’s licence
despite the significant
increase in the weight of the
MB Sprinter Euro 6 chassis.
Including a driver and
passenger, full tanks of
diesel, hydraulic fluids, Ad-
Blue and outrigger pads,
the unit still has a spare
payload of 10-15 kg.
New outrigger setup
The front outriggers are now
fixed while the rear outriggers
remain extendable.

A new boom limit system is
now available for Versalift
aerial access platforms.
The new system, the “Load
Moment Control” (LMC)
system, is significantly more
advanced offering end users
a greater total work area as
a higher degree of boom
extension becomes possible
at critical boom angles.
Load Moment Control
The LMC system
continuously measures the
force on the main cylinder
to determine a variable
degree of permitted inner
boom extension.
With the traditional boom
limit system, inner boom
extension is fixed and
determined solely by the
angle of the main boom
relative to a fixed cut off
angle resulting in a lack of
boom extension in critical
angles.
Using the LMC system,
operators gain access to
a greater work area at
boom angles around 45°
that are crucial for typical
tasks including street light
maintenance.

t GVW vehicles, the ETL series,
has been upgraded with;
Extra outreach
The new ETL features a
thicker aluminium profile
on the inner boom which,
combined with LMC and a
lighter cage, results in an
increase in the maximum
outreach on select ETL units.
Extra cage capacity
The max cage capacity
of ETL units has been
upgraded from 200 to 230
kg to better accommodate 2
operators with tools.
Safer emergency operation
The hydraulic valves are now
located at the pedestal for
safer and easier emergency
descent operations.
Previously, the hydraulic
valves were located at the
turret where they were
somewhat inaccessible as
the ground level operator
was required to stand on a
tall ladder while performing
the descent procedure.
New unit (ETL-38)
A new addition to the ETL
series is the ETL-38-140-F
available on 3.5 t Renault
Master and Mercedes-Benz
Sprinter vans.
New flybooms
All van mounted ETL units
with an articulating flyboom
now feature a higher degree
of flyboom articulation.
The traditional 90°
flyboom has been replaced
with a 120° flyboom granting
added versatility, while the
new ETL-38 features a 140°
flyboom.
Same payload
Despite the increase in
engine weight on the Euro
6 vehicles, the leftover
payload remains on the
same level as before.
New control panels
Rounding out the extensive
list of product upgrades, the
ETL series now has the new
control panel (next page).

series features a wider
outrigger spread to support
the extra capacity.
The increase in cage
capacity is available on
all ETM units with the FPC
control system.
Safer emergency operation
Similar to the upgrade to
the ETL series, the valves on
ETM units are now located
at the pedestal at ground
level for easier and safer
emergency operations with
no ladder requirement.
New control panels
Finally, the ETM series also
has the new control panel.

inhospitable off road conditions too extreme for the traditional pickup mounted unit.

VD is powered by a four
cylinder, 2.2 litre Kubota
diesel engine and has
bi-directional seating
positions. The low voltage
insulation is certified to
the latest standards and
rated to provide protection
from live voltages up to
1 kV. The boom structure,
cage controls and fittings
technology enables

a new dead man’s switch,
toggle switches, a display
and light above the controls.
A sliding cover shields the
controls from the elements.
The box can be mounted
