The region’s leading fashion platform was back end of last October and set the stage in Dubai
Design District (d3). Hosting regional and international designers, the October 2019 Edition
also successfully connected local, regional, and global shoppers, through their digital presence
“#ShopTheShow.”
The packed shows and presentations included FFWD regulars and favorites such as Amato and
Arwa Al Banawi as well as new-comers Hazem Kais and Jessica K . More focus on diversity was
also felt promoting a fashion environment for people of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Take Mrs.
Keepa who sent Ameni Esseibi – the Arab world’s first plus-sized model – on the runway with
her latest collection, “Les Silhouettes.”
The much anticipated range of industry talks including Laudomia Pucci’s talk on Heritage,
masterclasses, and shopping at ‘The Garden,’ pop-up stores, completed the full FFWD
experience.
