WARM WATER ARTHRITIS MANAGEMENT
Warm water exercise is one of the best types of therapy
for those suffering with arthritis and other disabling
relaxation. Taking place in a 90 to 91 warm water pool,
strengthening exercises for upper and lower body, core
development to enhance balance, flexibility movements
and a cool down using relaxation techniques and breath
control. Students must be able to stand and walk in the
IYENGAR YOGA
Developed by yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar more than 60 years ago, Iyengar yoga promotes strength, flexibility,
endurance and balance through coordinated breathing and poses that require precise body alignment. Equipment like
blankets, straps and blocks help the less flexible and also distinguishes Iyengar from other types of yoga. Although
Iyengar incorporates the traditional postures, or asanas, that make up the broader category of hatha yoga, the props
revolutionized yoga by enabling everyone – even the elderly, sick, and disabled, to practice. Because of its slow pace,
attention to detail, and use of props, Iyengar yoga can be especially good if you’re recovering from an injury.
