In 2012 Santa Fe Community College was awarded funding to become the state Center of Excellence for Green Building
and Energy Efficiency. This has enabled SFCC to develop curricula and trainings to ensure that our workforce has access to
the most up-to-date information in these fields. Trainings are often scheduled throughout the year on an as-needed basis,

New Mexico Energy$mart Academy is one of the Department of Energy’s
National Weatherization Training Centers and is accredited by the Interstate
Renewable Energy Council for all programs
We train for the four core weatherization jobs as determined by the Department
of Energy. We are also a BPI Test Center for these four certifications.
