ART
Santa Fe is synonymous with creativity. Continuing
Education has many classes where you can learn to
express yourself.
Explore drawing in a supportive environment
where creativity is encouraged. Learn basic skills for
drawing from life, incorporating both traditional and
contemporary methods. Several approaches to drawing
will be covered, which include using pencil, conte
crayon and colored pencils. Demonstrations, art history
and critiques enhance the work done in class.
drawings to two long studies per evening – improves
drawing skills, awareness and understanding of one of
the oldest traditions in art. Short slide presentations of
master works or anatomy and personalized critiques
are part of the course. Some drawing experience
is recommended.
scene you’re viewing. Learn techniques
to use charcoal and plastic erasers like
broad-stroke brushes that sweep across
the paper similar to painting a landscape
in oil or watercolor. Not only an exciting
way to produce powerful black and white
drawings, but this style also mimics oil and
watercolor painting. Only a few inexpensive
materials are needed.
