This course is for anyone interested in the<br />

combination of acrylic paints and gel mediums.<br />

Structured assignments include color mixing and<br />

composition. Demonstrations help guide you toward<br />

an understanding of how materials interact. Starting<br />

with dry materials such as graphite, pen and charcoal<br />

on prepared surfaces including paper, canvas and<br />

board; then make the transition to acrylic paint and<br />

mediums. Explore the formal language and artistic<br />

expression of both abstract and representational work.<br />

Use imagination as well as historical references. No<br />

experience necessary, only a curious mind. No class<br />
