The church in Hammel is very noticeably distinguished<br />
by the fact that one of the biggest<br />
estates in Jutland is situated in the parish. The<br />
original building has consisted of a chancel and<br />
nave built of granite ashlars as so many other<br />
churches in this part of the country. The north<br />
portal (now walled up) is of interest due to the<br />

In the late Middle Ages the church received a<br />
