Operating instructions The purpose of the pinning machine is to stretch and hold the mink skin in position. The machine is only designed for this and must therefore not be used for any other purpose. The instructions below should be studied carefully by the operator in order to achieve maximum safety and use of the machine. The instruction manual should also be stored in the proximity of the operator. Preparation and adjustment of the machine Upon receipt, the machine should be inspected for visible damage. Unpack the machine and lift it off the pallet. It may only be lifted by the frame of the machine. Height setting The machine can be set at an operating height from 97 cm to 110 cm. The operating height is set by carefully loosening the bolts on the inside of the underframe. The machine can then be screwed up/down to the required operating height and the bolts re-tightened. Tipping If you require a different angle of pitch on the machine, loosen the two bolts on the left and right sides of the machine. Please note! Hold on tight to the top frame, to prevent the machine from tipping over. The recommended setting is such that the tail falls naturally down between the rear clips. Connection The pinning machine is connected to clean, dry compressed air at 8-10 bar and 230V AC earthed. Start-up: 1 4 5 1. Switch on the machine by turning the rotating button on the front panel up to ”ON”. 2. Press start, and the sleeve cylinder moves to the starting position. The pinning cylinder will move to the top point (length meter is reset to zero) and then moves down to the starting point. 3. Check the pressure on the main manometer. • Recommended operating pressure: Min. 8 bar. Then check the pinning pressure on the manometers on the display box. 4. Pinning pressure, Female. (Std. 4 bar) 5. Pinning pressure, Male. (Std. 5 bar) Requirements for pinning pressure vary; the pinning pressure must therefore be adjusted manually, depending on the type of skin, etc. Main screen 0 mm, short by This size of the last skin pinned in millimetres, and by how many millimetres it was short from achieving a new size, including safety margin. F2 (Set Soft) When “Soft” is flashing, the effect is that the Turbo Vibrator is NOT ACTIVE in the initial stretching process. Last Male/Last Female This shows the size of the last skin pinned.
